About Me

My absolute favorite thing to do is to play sports or work out. Every day I am out there doing something active. Dancing is my favorite way to get moving.

You Are Apple Pie
You're the perfect combo of comforting and traditional.
You prefer things the way you've always known them.
You'll admit that you're old fashioned, and you don't see anything wrong with that.
Your tastes and preferences are classic. And classic never goes out of style.

Those who like you crave security.
People can rely on you to be true to yourself - and true to them.
You're loyal, trustworthy, and comfortable in your own skin.
And because of these qualities, you've definitely earned a lot of respect. What Kind of Pie Are You?

My Interests

Dance, travel, cooking, raku pottery, reading and writing. Philosophical discussions. Swimming, walking places, having long semi-interesting conversations. Working out, studying things, and meeting new people. Seems like most of my friends are having kids or thinking about getting married, so I am interested in all that. I find people in general very interesting. ;)I like to have people over just for a reason to cook something up and to talk about whatever, nothing, anything. Lately I am recognizing the value in computers, which are interesting too. Anything new or novel is very interesting to me. Oh yeah, and gymnastics.

Music:

Live music is the best!

It just depends.

So... what's your dream life? What does it look like? I guess that is different depending on one's outlook in life. That's why advertisements can't be "one infomercial fits all." ;) Let's see, some p...

Downcast... I mean Overcast... weather ahead in the Forecast...

Ahh, the dark days of winter in Washington. It's coming, yes it is! I can feel the gloom looming ahead. Can I just hibernate and dream of the warm, kaleidoscopic days of summer?

Late Night Smorgasbord

Hey... you know Smorgasbords? They're like buffets, but mostly with that German food. At least, I think it was German... Anyway. The past few days I have been staying up past my lovely bed-time of 8:3...

Friends are the best

Cheesy huh? But true. Friends are the best. It's wonderful to know that there is someone out there thinking GOOD thoughts about me, someone who cares. To all of my friends, thank you for being you! Th...

A fun game you might have played before...

I played this really great game today called "pick up the stray sock." Here's how it works: I pull a load out of the dryer and three socks fall onto the ground. Carefully balancing the load in my arms...

Technical Troubles

Hrm... I tried to post blogs several times last week but wasn't successful in getting them uploaded. Oh well, guess they were not meant to be public. This week I have been contemplating the fact that...

Mommy Tears

When I was young, probably around ten years old, I started hearing about what I think of as "mommy tears." I would hear stories of how mothers remembered, in their childhoods, their own mothers c...

Hope, with a gentle persuasion...

... whispers her comforting word. Hope, for the sunshine tomorrow, after the darkness has gone. Whispering hope, oh how welcome thy voice! Making my heart in its sorrow rejoice. This morning's dawn Bi...
