Emerging from the Southern California (LA/Orange County) music scene, ANOTHER VICE is quickly making a name for themselves performing an original, “new school”, catchy, style of “Punk Rock”. The band is a power trio that has spawn from two other California based bands, Ethanz Ride and Brown Ale.
It all started in late 2007 when ANOTHER VICE began to write, rehearse and craft their unique sound. Consisting of Tom Reyes (lead vocals and guitar) former front man of Brown Ale, Dustin Jones (bassist & vocals) formerly a member of Ethanz Ride, and Rob Castro (drums) who performed in both Brown Ale and Ethanz Ride. These seasoned musicians have created an infectious brand of hard rock that is a blend of music that pushes the boundaries of genres. Members of the band have performed alongside world renowned acts such as Pennywise, Bad Religion, Tiger Army, Boys Like Girls, Hawthorne Heights, Flogging Molly, New Found Glory, Pepper, Buck O’ Nine, The Uprising, Smut Peddlers, LA Guns, and Agent Orange. Also to name just a few venues the members have performed at: 2007 Vans Warped Tour, House of Blues, The Whisky A-Go-Go, Chain Reaction, The Alley, The Cat Club, The Doll Hut, Blue Café, Hogue BarMichaels, etc., and the list goes on and on.
After a long journey of shopping around LA, Hollywood, and Orange County to find the right studio to start recording the band’s debut album, they decided that California Sound Studios in Lake Forest was the perfect fit for them. Producer/Engineer Jammin Jesse Wright (who has worked with countless headlining acts on major record labels) is working with the band on the album and it is definitely going to change the world one way or another. The band said, “It has been nice to be able to take our time with this record and really make it over the top! This studio, in our eyes, has really made a huge difference in the quality of this project.”
ANOTHER VICE is connecting with their audience the best way possible, with powerful vocals, catchy lyrics almost everyone can relate to, melodies you can’t get out of your head, and creative musicianship all mixed with passion and energy behind each song. This rare recipe has proven the power to bring in more and more fans that want to be apart of the evident chemistry and realness of the band’s music.
There is no limit to what this band can accomplish and you can expect to see them on tour at a venue near you very soon.
