The U.S. government is proving to be dangerous to the survival of democracy not only in America, but the rest of the world as well. Every election is sold to the highest bidder, as special interest groups control who recieves a credible nomination with their money. And with this, there is no concern for the common good, and we are left to choose between the "lesser of the two evils". No matter what the candidates say, under this set up, there is no hope for change. The only way change will occur, is if we the people stage a new American Revolution. Therefore, we the people of the Liberty Revolution are here to be the catalyst for such revolution. How will our revolution be fought? Through the voting booths. This is not 1776; we live in a more sophisticated age; therefore, a violent revolution is unecessary. How can we fight the system through the voting booths? With these objectives:1. We amass a great body of people. Pledge yourself to the revolution, spread the word to you friends, and use any media available to you in order to get our message out there. With that, we build a strong network of supporters that will speak in one loud voice.
2. Form the Liberty Party. With that, we can field candidates for office. First we'll start out locally, then state wide politics, and then, national politics. This will not be an overnight event, but it will indeed happen if everyone is devoted to the cause. How can we win elections against the "Big 2"? Reread objective 1. Think about it, if we can gain millions of supporters, that will be millions of votes for our candidates. Therefore, we won't need the campaign money to keep up with the Democrats and Republicans, because we already have the pledged votes. That is how we will be the first "3rd Party" to stand a credible chance in a Presidential Election. Now let me reiterate the fact that this will take years to pull off. To organize millions of supporters and field candidates who can win elections is much easier said than done, but if we remain active in our cause, we will succeed.
3. Once we gain political power, we will bring integrity back to the system, as we will finally have leaders who will represent the average American. We will have leaders who will worry less about interfering in the affairs of other nations and worry more about improving the lives of Americans.It is time for a change, and change will never come if we all stand back and do nothing. Think about that the next time you're watching the news and see things you don't like. Instead of shaking your head while saying, "Something needs to change".
