Barton Fink

Is a man who loves a grilled cheese. It warms his stomach, and his soul.

About Me

We could have saved the Earth, but we were too damned cheap." -- Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

"God Damnit, you've got to be kind." -- Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
"Spend three years learnin' how to talk, the next thirty learnin' not to. Two years learnin' how to walk, about the same for a motorcycle. Eight years livin' in a powder keg and only longin' to light the matches. " -- Vic Ruggiero, "Don't Have To".
"A man is just a man filled with faults and weakness, for a young Jerusalem all alone and speechless. Lights out, no body's home, walkin' streets in darkness. I feel I'm just a man, flesh and bones, homeless." -- Matisyahu, "Late Night in Zion"

My Interests

Learning, sleeping, sticking my foot in my mouth.

I'd like to meet:

Already met the people worth meeting. But if I had to choose, I'd say a monster made out of Dippin' Dots.

Music:

RIO, Jackmove, Vic Ruggiero, The Slackers, Hepcat, David Hilliyard and the Rock Steady Seven, Peter Tosh, Desmond Dekker, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, The Skatalites, The Valentines, Dennis Brown, Jimmy fuckin' Cliff, Bob Marley (every now and then), Family Tree, Steel Pulse, Devotchka, Sons and Daughters, so on and so forth.

Movies:

I think Citizen Kane is overrated, so my opinion isn't "valid". But here are some great flicks that every one SHOULD see:
Children of Men, No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood, The Hudsucker Proxy, The Fountain, The Science of Sleep, Pan's Labyrinth, 21 Grams, Casino Royal (best bond -- ever), Fido, Amalie, The City of Lost Children, Dellicatessen, A Very Long Engagement, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, so on and so forth.

Television:

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Books:

Kurt Vonnegut, Jack Kerouac, Stanislaw Lem, Umberto Eco, Phillip K. Dick, Dashiell Hammet, Raymond Chandler, Charles Bukowski, Bruce Campbell. As for Screenplays: give me something by Charlie Kauffman, Joel and Ethen Coen, Hampton Fincher, Paul Thomas Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, The Peoples, George A. Romero, Guillermo Del Toro and a few others.

Heroes:
