I am a mother to two beautiful children. They bring me joy with each and every day. They are HILARIOUS and their love for each other and others in general moves me to my core. They are both very bright and tender hearted and excel at everything they do. I am a full time student and will be done with my Bachelors degree SOON! Very, very happy about that. I work at the college and like my job. I will be leaving soon and it will be sad to lose that working relationship with some extraordinary women. I love the LORD with ALL OF MY BEING. I love to learn more about Him every single day. Without God in my life, I was an empty shell. I never want anyone to feel that emptiness without Jesus. I know I am not perfect and I LOVE that. When you know you aren't perfect you definitely don't beat yourself up everyday about your flaws. I make mistakes and don't always say the right things, but will usually be the FIRST to say I'm sorry and I can definitely admit when I'm wrong. I do my best to learn from my mistakes and to forgive as quickly as I got upset.
I am a very passionate person. Someday's I feel like I am experiencing life for the very first time. It is a really weird thing because I am a PLANNER. It is definitely something I am good at it, but my own life is REALLY spontaneous. I don't like to be in a bubble of expectation. Have you ever experienced that? Because of your "reputation" or your clique or your culture, people think you should like certain things, or act a certain way, or listen to certain music, or eat certain foods. No thanks!!! I learned a long time ago that we may choose our path, but God determines our steps. So if we try and precisely plan each step, we will be VERY disappointed when our steps are different than we planned. When I look at where I am at today, it is NOWHERE near where I would have guessed for myself 10 years ago.... but never in that heart 10 years ago could I have imagined a life like this! Losing the things of the world isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes you have to lose things for your eyes to be opened. Stuff really ISN'T that important, and the BEST lesson I have learned is EVERYTHING happens for a reason!
Look at this world that God created. There are so many hidden mysteries and beauty in places you never would expect. Its something we hear people talk about, or sing in songs, or write about in books. We think... man if I could do that, or if I could have seen that.... One day I took a look at my life and thought wow... I have been in a culture bubble and I'm not missing out on life anymore. So I quit thinking everything had to be a "certain" way. When someone invited me to go camping, even though I really didn't like to be outside, I learned that I LOVE TO BE OUTSIDE. When I rode a horse for the first time even though I was afraid, I learned that I LOVE TO RIDE HORSES, just do it afraid. When I went white water rafting on a rugged 3 day trip, I learned I LOVE TO GO RAFTING, and roughing it is pretty fun. When I went to a cultural extravaganza for the first time, even though I thought that was going to be boring, I learned that I LOVE Indian food, and I LOVE shopping at the cultural markets and I had a really good time. I have learned over the last few years to quit tying up Gods hands in my life. I just keep my eyes on Jesus because He has never led me wrong and look forward to each exhilarating new day. Remember if the mountain wasn't rocky.... you would have nothing to climb.
