Tony Calloway, originally from Boston, Massachusetts, has been a resident of the city of Columbus for the past 40 years, growing up in the Linden community and a graduate of Columbus Linden McKinley High School. After giving his life to Christ at the age of 11, under the Pastoral leadership and fathering of the late Bishop C.M. Grant, he eventually moved into Music ministry under the direction of Bishop Quander L. Wilson, Sr., Chief Apostle of the then-named, Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Faith Tabernacle organization. He served as its Minister of Music for 11 years, which included time where he served as one of the primary music components at World Harvest Church, under the musical direction of Clint Brown.
During his time at Greater Life with Bishop Wilson, he also served as the Men's Ministry leader, served on the ministry council and was the Director of Internal Affairs, as a liasion to Bishop Wilson regarding the care & operation of the local ministry. In 1999, he was ordained as an Elder in the Greater Emmanuel movement, by Bishop Wilson.In 2000, he moved from Greater Emmanuel, with Bishop Wilson's blessing, to the First Church of God, Columbus, Ohio. The end of 2006, leading into 2007 was a tremendous season of accomplishment with the birthing of â€œProvision Productionsâ€, and the production of the original play, â€œReconciliation; The Story of the Prodigal Sonâ€, starring Reuel Barksdale, Charles Thomas and Philip Scofield.
In January of 2007, the first book, â€œV.I.S.I.O.N.; Seeing Godâ€™s Future For Youâ€ was released, exclusively online and can be purchased at www.lulu.com/DestinyNation and has since been followed up with the release of three additionl books; "A Daddy's Heart -Poetic Echoes of a Detached Father, Volumes 1 & 2", books of poetry dedicated to the children in my life and "Operation I.M.P.A.C.T -Reviving a Nation", a call to the Body of Christ for internal and intrinsic revival to the commission of Christ.
In September of 2008, a new release entitled, â€œOut of the Waterâ€, the true story of Death-to-Life encounter and the 11 day journey to healing and victory, will also be released, exclusively available at www.lulu.com/DestinyNation.
Now, in a new season of life, new horizons await and it's time for the Birthing of a Nation.
And just as time is always moving, progressing to new horizons, the Praise of God HAS TO BE continuous and I'm looking for a Nation of Believers to let their praise become continuous, taking them to new horizons. Even in the midst adversity, challenge, trial and tribulation.
