Decibel is a kick-ass Hard Rock/Heavy Metal cover band, period.
Decibel began in 2001 as alternative to finding some stage time when the member's original music projects were in between gigs and/or recording time. Three members of Conditioned Response wanted more than the occasional gig and the constant writing sessions. The only problem was who would sing? It had to be someone that would be in the same general interest and situation as the other three members.
" It was a no-brainer. We called Lance instantly because he was essentially up the same alley as we were with Balance of Power - not only that, he lived in the area, and was really the only option if you wanted to play Queensryche songs (laughs)."
Lance's response was simple, "Sounds like fun!", and that is exactly what it is. Ever since then, these guys get together somewhere in Minnesota or Western Wisconsin, and crank out the rock.
People come to a Decibel show more for the "atmosphere" the band brings than the show itself. Everyone knows each other. Everyone is a friend, and if you are new, you are befriended by someone almost immediately.
Another big appeal to Decibel is that there are no gimmicks. These guys are as real as it gets. What you get are real musicians cranking out some of your favorite rock just as good/if not better than the original artists themselves - and these guys can sing their asses off too. Yes, the hair IS REAL. Don't be surprised if you run into one of the guys and they buy you a shot. Not only are they some of the nicest guys you will ever meet, but they know how to party too.
If you want to go against the grain, go hang out where Decibel is, period.
