Heller is the first Serbian thrash metal band, and one of the first metal bands in general that ever came from that country! They were formed in 1986, with Attila on lead giutar and vocals, Dane on rhythm guitar, Deda on bass(soon replaced by Cvora) and Kole(later replaced by Muller) on drums. In 1988 singer Zmegi came into the band, and Attila assumed only guitar playing duty. In the 1989 their first and only self titled album came out, it was the first thrash metal record in that part of Europe. Songs were about death, destruction and violence, and they found many fans in Yugoslavia, and even with some underground metal fans in rest of the Europe. Almost all lyrics were written in Serbian language, except the song Dead or Alive. They had many gigs, the most important and famous one was when they played as opening act for infamous thrash gods, Destruction. But the war that broke out in Balkans caused many things to stop, including the existence of band Heller. Last recording that they made was 1993 demo, including four songs, with lyrics in English language. In the 2005, Serbian recording label "Rock Express", re-issued "Heller" album+1993 demo tape.
