Cranston is the eldest one of four children. At the age of five he has been musically inclined, playing keyboards, drums and trumpet.
Over the years he has developed many talents. He became a successful musician, artist, barber, certified lifeguard, videographer, and photographer. He has been a member of the Legend Marching Band displaying his multi-talent skills as lead drummer, and a trumpet player for many years.

Cranston, whose work is aimed at creating the development and success of musical talents here in the Bahamas, has pursued his managerial career in the music industry in the year 2000.
In spring of 2003, Cranston became manager of the female gospel group ‘Alas.’ Alas is comprised of four young Bahamian females, Faith and Heather McDonald, Bianka Brown, and Teena Grant.
Cranston’s success continued in 2004 when ‘Alas’ released their first single, ‘Look-Up Redemption is Drawing Nigh’ and their first self titled album wish was also produced this year, then later released in 2005 and made a tremendous impact not only in the Bahamas but also in the United States.
During the year 2004 Cranston has discovered another talent of his, he has been inspired to write movie scripts. His first foray into writing, ‘Dreams’ stemmed from his desires to help artist he encountered daily.
Over the years he has been blessed with two sons, Cranston McDonald Jr. and Shiloh McDonald.
In 2006 Cranston gave his life to the Lord and he’s currently a Christian and messenger for the Most High God. As a music minister, he attends the School of Prophetic Ministry, where the Pastor is Pastor Frank Hagan.
‘Alas’ released their second single, ‘Singing Hallelujah’ in 2007.
