Having developed his own sound, beats, and lyrics in Chandler, Arizona, CATTFISH transcends the modern day rapper with creativity on the mic and skill in production. He is a well-rounded individual whose charisma and talent have led him to many opportunities in a budding career.
It takes dedication and a focused mind to be so deserving of local artists’ respect and appreciation. CATTFISH’s selflessness shows through in his latest projects which include production on countless albums and mix tapes as well as lyricism on his and others’ tracks. In reference to a track on his latest album, there is nothing “JOLLY†about this “FROG†when he’s lost in concentration during his creative sessions; he’s in the zone, not easily bothered as he masters each track to perfection in every sense of the word. Loving every minute of his work and appreciating the blessing, he understands the sacrifices that need to be made in order to rise in his career. Perfectionism is not the term used to describe this CATT, it’s much of an understatement, he’s got “That Fire†when it comes to music and it takes more than rain in the “DIRTY SOUTHWEST†to put it out.
This epic flame was ignited at the early age of nine with the upbringing of a Pastor and his wife. In The Chapel full of bible-reading, church-singing folk, you could find CATTFISH front row with a pen and his notebook practicing his lyricism and bobbing his head. As he matured through middle and high school his interests expanded to other entities as well as music. In 2001, a passion which was once simultaneously spread across multiple sports soon became focused on the one dwelling in his heart, his love for MUSIC.
With music in his heart and a progressing skill in his mind he soon became known around Arizona for producing phenomenal beats. He began producing at the tender age of 19 and polished up his expertise quickly with his background in computer engineering. Soon major labels and local artists that were up and coming were requesting Fish Beats through word of mouth. His growing talent of producing would soon catch up with his perfected skill of rapping and performing. His genuine attitude and stage presence appeal to all crowds on and off stage. With the combined sound of Snoop Dogg and A+ from the Hieroglyphics, CATTFISH engages his listeners with his catchy flow and signature sound.
