Tommy Tunes, The Early Years. . . D.J. Tommy Tunes, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York has been REPRESENTING The TRUE UNDERGROUND for nearly two (2) decades. This veteran turntable assassin's interest in music began at the tender age of thirteen (13) years old, when "Old School Hip Hop" and "Freestyle" were prevalent. Even as a youth, Tommy Tunes perception as to the rhythmic beats in conjunction with the raw animalistic intensity and heart pounding bass provided him with the capabilities to move ANY dance floor. Amazed by the feelings and emotions that his track selections had evoked within nearly ever party goers body, Tommy Tunes quickly became a neighborhood hero. ALWAYS remaining humble Tommy had embraced his GOD given talent by devoting countless hours rehearsing and investing nearly all of his funds in vinyl, to continue to ensure that his beats would live on long after whatever party ended. Quickly graduating from the whimsical sounds of main stream melodies, "Hard Core's" intensity was the direction Tommy Tunes had chosen. In the early nineteen nineties (1990's), Tommy Tunes had begun playing Underground parties in New York City for Digital Domain. Influenced by the established "Underground Legend" Nicky Fingers (R.I.P), Tommy was playing harder and faster than ever before. In nineteen ninety four (1994) the East Coast had been invaded by "European Trance", hypnotized and convinced that this was "The Sound Of The Future", his future, "Our" future, Tommy had decided to follow the bass drum that constantly beats within his heart. Immersed and enveloped to the brink of insanity Tommy had intensified his rehearsal schedule, determined and dedicated to unleash the "Fury" we all now know, and love as trance/hard house. His gamble had not gone unnoticed, due to his overwhelming demand by some of the most reputable and influential producers and promoters of "Electronic Dance Events", Tommy Tunes was hotter than ever. From the "Legendary" Matt E. Sillver, whom had produced the popular summer outdoor ENIT Festival held at the Garden State Arts Center in New Jersey, to a crowd of over ten thousand (10,000) participants. Tsunami Productions was the next production company utilizing Tommy's unique style of "Techno Fused Trance". Hailing from Europe, Tsunami Productions was exposing the Tri-State Area To "Goa Trance", in an unbelievable venue, The Liberty Science Center, located in Jersey City, New Jersey. The venue alone was another positive chapter in Tommy Tunes illustrious career, performing at the Liberty Science Center to an overwhelming crowd of over six thousand (6,000) "Electronic Music Dance Fans". Recruited by the innovative, visionary, John D. suggested that Tommy Tunes "Tag Team" with "Trance Legend and Limelight Guru", friend, and label mate Gonzo. History was in the making, these two (2) individual "Turntable Juggernauts" forged in time itself, had added yet another dimension to what the future told. Tommy Tunes and Gonzo had melded and fused together in the Berkeley Carteret Hotel in Asbury Park New Jersey at EMBRACE 2. With a never seen before production, Tommy Tunes And Gonzo hypnotized nearly twenty three hundred (2,300) screaming, dancing fans into BELIEVING. During this time Tommy was not only one NYC's most popular RAVE DJ's but was also highly in demand in the New York Club scene spinning at most of New York City's legendary clubs, to mention a few: Palladium- Limelight- Tunnel- Sound Factory- Twilo- Expo- Webster Hall- Octagon and his personal favorite Vinyl. He was resident DJ at Vinyl for the now legendary UNITY parties. During this time he played hundreds of events throughout the United States with several appearances in Canada and Asia.
