The most recent book I've read is 'Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell' by Susanna Clarke. It's the best book I've read in years, hard to believe it's her first. All time favorite author is Philip K. Dick. Also enjoy Vonnegut, Edgar Allen Poe, Caleb Carr (at least the first two), William Gibson, Arthur C. Clarke, Robert Anton Wilson and the delightfully anachronistic prose of Dickens. Quite.
