THIS IS THE OFFICIAL DISEKT MYSPACE!Jeremy decided to quit and threw a tantrum and changed the password on the profile that we both used for the band then stole the name and started a new page.
Jeremy now claims to have written all of the music and done the lyrics for disekt which is 100% untrue. NOT ONE single song was fully written by him.. in fact all he wrote was a 30 second loop for each track.. If even that much. Yet now he wants to be a baby and destroy any integrity disekt may have had by being totally unprofessional and showing his utter lack of experience as an adult, professional and "musician".
I had moved on from disekt long long ago because of my lack of interest in the 30 second loops Jeremy sent me, then expected me to do the rest. I admit.. I should have ended the band long ago.. I did in fact tell Jeremy to move on, many many times, but he swore over and over that he could not do music without me so I felt an obligation to trudge onwards to help him try to achieve his "rawk starr" dreams.
One day Jeremy just randomly decided to remove all of my personal friends from the silly "top friends" list because of some silly crap he claimed he was getting from his his wife, he suddenly decided to "quit" and throw a fairly hilarious tantrum especially after I caught him in a lie and has now become everything he claimed he hated that he experienced from his former band.
He has tried to claim he wrote all the music to every song, arranged them, mixed them, engineered them and actually just flat out says that each and every track, in their entirety were done solely by himself. Not even crediting me for my very own vocals or lyrics, which I might add, was the LEAST of my contributions to each track. I actually did all of the things that I previously mentioned to every track, including instrumentation.. and created each and every track as you hear them now..because if I didnt.... all you would hear from disekt would be a bunch of 10-30 second long loops that Jeremy did. Jeremy did play some synths and program some drums... just as I did.... but his contribution was, as I mentioned above, given in 30 second loops or less. I do not discount what he contributed and have always given him credit for his work. He however likes to live in a dream world.
Jeremy also likes to attempt to bash me as a musician. He claims that I am just a no talent hack. Now I never have claimed to be a "musician" to begin with. ever. Its true, I own instruments and that I have been in many bands and released many albums thru several labels and toured the country several times with various bands and even opened for many great bands over the years. You can even find music I have been a part of on iTunes and Metropolis and Projekt etc etc. But the bashing of me that Jeremy tries to toss around is nothing more than some grade school sillyness. And I dont feel that I need to prove myself. I am proud of my contributions to every band I have ever been in and continue to record with.. and yes... I poured alot of myself into disekt and honestly, I am very glad its over.....I have continued to record music under the name The Elysium Facade and have recently started a new band called Glass Arcana.
It is very sad to see Jeremy for who he really is now. I do however wish him luck in his future musical endeavors...and that one day he will regain the integrity that he once claimed he had.
HERE IS THE REAL BIO
Disekt combines the talents of Ashe Ruppe (Glass Arcana, Submarine Fleet, Trance to the Sun (live), The Elysium Facade, Nocturne pdx, Written In Ashes, etc.) and Jeremy. Disekt creates seething dark electronic music with an edge, combining dark atmospheres and harsh breathy vocals paired with driving percussion. All of these elements combined make for a unique sound which is entrancing on CD and boils over live.Disekt began in 2003 when Ashe was in the process of recording an original track for an Einstürzende Neubauten supporters CD under the name of his dark ambient project The Elysium Facade. Eventually Jeremy was invited to collaborate with Ashe on the track and Disekt was born. The bands first collaboration was released in Berlin and came off so well that there were no doubts that their combination was the perfect chemistry. After collaborating for a year with Jeremy in Alabama and Ashe on the west coast a huge catalogue of studio roughs had begun to accumulate. In March of 2005 Jeremy moved back to Portland and the two began working together in the same studio once again and the band was finally going full force. At the first of August 2005 Disekt made available two tracks. This marked the true birth of the band and unveiled the unique style which is their music. Within a matter of weeks the band was getting radio and club play in Germany, England and The U.S. and a loyal fanbase had already begun. All media (including images and text - unless noted otherwise) on this page © disektdisekt Muzik® Copyright ©2005 ::[r]:: Muzik® Copyright ©2005I have 100% legal right to publish and use every single track and image that you see on this page.
