Could I be the antidote to your soul crushing existence working for the man?"

About Me

I'm a busy Marina del Rey sailor who's into goofy yet intelligent conversation. I've also been known to be a bartender. Lately though, most of my time has been spent on my Marine Consulting business which has put the bartending thing more to the back burner. Basically I'm the Xzbit of the high seas. Bring me your boat and I'll pimp it out.
I came to California for film school (UCLA) many moons ago but hated it. The warm weather kept me here (too many New England winters driving around in an unheated Volkswagen)! I still write but usually boring techincal stuff about boats and boating. There are still some scripts in me though.
In the past I've also been a mortgage broker and a travel agent. I've been to Thailand, Bermuda, Italy, Japan as well as far off and exotic places such as Canada and Mexico.
I love making people laugh with my dry & sometimes sarcastic sense of humor. I'm usually relaxed and down to earth yet sometimes can be passionate and intense. I'm loyal to a fault and am a firm believer that a person can will anything to happen with their life. When one door closes another one will open soon. Die hard romantic. Good listener. :) Bad dancer :( ...but good kisser :)

My Interests

Sailing, star gazing, charity / volunteer work, hitting the gym,the beach... early in the morning,
Red Sox baseball , .....motorcycles, movies, eBay, hiking / camping, screenplays, travel and cultural events.

I'd like to meet:

Having things in common is a farce!
Just be: Smart, attractive, positive and healthy. Down to earth who has a sense of humor. Open-minded. Someone I can learn from. Someone I can teach. Able to give good back massages. Not a drama queen. Someone who is willing to meet in person under the right circumstances.

No bad breath or BO... Oh I could tell you some horror stories!

Music:

The Stone Roses, Radiohead, Cowboy Junkies, Nada Surf, Snow Patrol, Silver Sun Pickups, Thievery Corporation, Oasis, Sade, Beastie Boys, Cake, Chemical Brothers, Chris Isaak, Lenny Kravitz, Johnny Cash, Coldplay, U2, Wilco, old Jazz like Nina Simone and John Coltrane... guilty pleasures: Bob Seeger and 80's Bryan Adams. Yes *sigh* I have danced in my underwear to both.

Movies:

Napolean Dynamite, 2046, Paths of Glory, Office Space, Lost in Translation, Casblanca, Letters from Iwo Jima, A Hard Day's Night, Two-Lane Blacktop, High Fidelity, Gattaca, Local Hero, Bullit, The Sting, The Wedding Singer, Downhill Racer, Fight Club, Chasing Amy, A Christmas Story and Rocky.

Television:

What's a television? Seriously, when I still had one, I'd watch Biography, Jeopardy and South Park. Do Red Sox games on MLB.com count?

Books:

Biographies... especially those of historical and key business figures. Also anything I can download to read on my Treo especially while waiting at the DMV or the bank. I also love pop-up books... especially those of historical and key...

Heroes:

Bill Murray and Nelson Mandela although not necessarily in that order.
