About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
RIP SOPHIE... A tragic waste. http://www.myspace.com/inmemoryofsophie Please support the S.O.P.H.I.E campaign to stamp out the kind of hatred that caused such a beautiful young womanssenseless and horrific death.
I'm a very open-minded, creative person. I like & have always liked extreme and unusual fashion andnon-pretentious people. I just want to have fun and be myself. I have been particularly into the Goth scene for around10 years now and have no intention of 'growing out of it' and i'm sure none of the 40 year old plus 'Goths' that arearound don't either ;)
I am currently a stay at home mam hoping to start doing a little work from home, perhaps opening my own onlineshop someday selling weird and wonderful things. I am looking at doing DIY t-shirts, vests & jewellery & doingcreative make-up as well as starting some artwork/illustration. I have also been known to do modelling here and there, from catwalk and website work to flyers and posters. I know a lot of girls are trying to go into modelling at themoment, however i first started around 8 years ago, but unfortunatly due to circumstances at the time and a lack ofconfidence i ended up turning down a lot of opportunities i wish i hadn't. I am very interested in expanding mymodelling experience now and will be starting back up as soon as possible.
If you are a photographer i would like to hear from you as i am currently trying to build a larger modellingportfolio, more on the plus sized end of the spectrum at the moment due to a lot of recent weight gain. I will doTFP/TFCD and i am willing to travel. I can do goth/deathrock/fetish/pin-up/cyber-punk kind of styles. I have aninteresting wardrobe & can do my own hair & make-up pretty much any way required. Alternatively i am available to domake-up for photoshoots :)
Maybe i'm weird but i appear to be one of very few people who like the music of both the cyber-goth anddeathrock/old school goth scenes. I have my own amalgamation of these styles but i mostly veer towards black clothingand a slightly more deathrock type look these days. The more artistic & inventive the better, i'm working on that formyself & i will get there eventually ;) Updates to pictures coming soon!
I'm also interested in witchcraft, shamanism & the occult. There is nothing evil or un-wholesome about this. I donot have a religion (I am not Wiccan) as such however, i have my own views on these things. I would love to meetpeople with similar interests. And i am certainly not satanic and have no problem with other people's religions orbeliefs. If you know anything at all about witchcraft you would know this.
There is something i have decided to put on here after something i read on someones profile. A lot of peopleshould just realise that they should just dress in the style they like and what makes them feel happy and comfortableand listen to what they like,no matter if its trendy or not trendy, it doesn't matter. People should not be so shallowas to try and out-do each other or try and prove they are better or different in some way by this means..Also the factthat the way you look isn't the be all and end all of everything. In the end this is just vanity..there is nothingwrong with wanting to look good, but don't use the way someone presents themselves as a means of violence or your onlyway of expressing yourself. You have a mind as well and probably some kind of talent.Use it.tis a shame that peoplefeel the need to try and be different by being something they are not. If you are going to be into the 'alternative'scene, then just be the way you really want..you don't need to dress all in black and just listen to gothic rock orwhatever, there is a lot more to it than that, in fact that is not what it is about at all. Why can't you be into thegoth scene and not dress gothic and dress trendy? Why can't you be into the dance and trance clubbing scenes and dressgothic, for example? Why do you have to conform to the boundaries other people have set because of something so on thesurface as the style you choose to adopt? No one is truely individual in their aesthetics, but they may well be intheir head, so use your brain and think about what you are doing. You cannot hate someone or think they look ugly justbecause they do not look a certain way. Be into what you really like and care only about what makes you truely happyand not what other people might think.
If you are interested please check out my personal website (link to follow). I am currently working on this andwill post the link when it is finished. It will be used to promote my modelling, showcase my art and DIY clothing &jewellery.
