I am here for Friends

About Me

I often find it difficult to write about myself. Perhaps the hardest part is to put the first word on the page. I was a little girl once with ideas about fantastic ideas about a world that has crumbled and tarnished with exposure to the world as it really is.
I am passionate about art, music and the poetry of the written word.
Travel would have to be my foremost goal in life, though I am afraid it will slip from my grasp to be replaced by the growing monotony of daily life.
I can be an intensly contrtrary creature; defaming that which I do, or upholding something I am not.
I am strongly opinionated, but do not impose my ideas on most people, indeed I do not generally mention them if the conversation arises, as I am painfully shy.
Usually I keep to myself and those I feel comfortable with, having a dislike of large groups and being unable to speak out or make myself heard.
My family is a very important part of my life. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for the love and support of my amazing and talented Mother. And my beautiful sister inspires - and agrivates me - daily.
I have many fascinations and few hates, though those things that I do despise, I do so with a vengance.
I am interested in different opinions and ways of viewing life. Religions and beliefs intrigue me, though I don't adhere to any specific one.
In closing, I have my facets and my flaws like everybody else, if you have taken the time to get to the end of all my wafflings, I thank you.

A World Apart From Worlds ~ A short story

The old woman with the long, pure-white hair sat up with a resigned sigh. She had fallen asleep in her faded blue recliner again; cat curled serenely in her lap, companionably silent as only cats ca...
