Hello! My name is Steve and thank you for visiting my page. I think you will find that I am eager to learn and grow. I hope you are, too! Just being here is a great start. If you want to learn more about what I do, click here Real Estate & Mortgage Credit Blog to read my blog.

As is true for so many, any attempt to show who I am today must begin with a story of where I’ve been. I was born in southern California but grew up in Lynwood, a Seattle suburb. I am the oldest of three brothers and have one beautiful older sister (hands off, gentlemen!). After high school, I spent time at two different colleges but never really found my niche. As J.R.R. Tolkien said, “Not all who wander are lost.” The events of September 11 th , 2001, prompted me to join the United States Air Force.

&nbsp

I spent a very rewarding four years in the Air Force, but it was actually an unrelated purchase I made during that time which would eventually change my life: I bought my first house. More on that later. It was around this time that I read Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki. My friends, if you are unfamiliar with this book, you need to make it a part of your personal library. It is a fascinating book filled with one man’s wisdom on how to be successful and maintain perspective.

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.”

~Theodore Roosevelt

That really says it all, doesn’t it? With nothing but opportunity after I got out of the Air Force, I followed Mr. Kiyosaki’s advice and became a business owner instead of an employee. I took some savings and started an internet company called HiTechDealz selling digital camera accessories. To my great delight (but not to my surprise), the company was a success! I developed a profitable business model, had two full-time employees, incorporated the business, and was making more money than I ever had before.

But if HiTechDealz was a success, the house I bought in Florida was an even bigger success. I was in the right place at the right time, and what I bought for $172K in 2004 was worth around $250K in 2005! I started renting the property and made a tremendous profit! I was so intrigued by real estate appreciation and the value of leveraging borrowed money that I immersed myself in the real estate market in 2006. I bought 16 more rental properties and learned everything from mortgages to plumbing to taxes. It was such a rush! Eventually, I even got my real estate license.

You probably think you know the end of this story. I got into the real estate market at the worst possible time, right? As the saying goes, it was too good to be true. With 2007 came the worst mortgage challenge/crash/crisis that the nation has seen it at least 25 years. The reasons for the trying times are many and varied but frankly, not the real issue.

As I watched colleagues in the mortgage industry go out of business and watched families and entrepreneurs be denied the loans they longed for, I learned an important lesson: credit is more valuable today than every before! It’s not that lenders aren’t lending money anymore; they’re simply not lending risky money anymore.

"You Can Have Everything in Life that You Want, if You Will Help Enough Other People Get What They Want''

-Zig Zigler

I like to help others. It’s a passion of mine. Sometime’s it’s with a little advice; sometimes it’s pulling a truck out of the mud when it gets stuck. Sometimes it’s helping people get the loans they need. When I realized the value of credit, I also realized the value of credit repair. My own credit score went up 125 points! In addition to my real estate endeavors, I began helping people boost their credit to get the loans they needed. I live for the smile on a new property-owners face! You can be one, too! Check out my blog Real Estate & Mortgage Credit Blog to learn more about what I do.

I love God, my family, my country, and am so thankful to all of those that have been so influential and supportive of me in life and business, particularly this last year: Ed Burie of Ascend Credit, my talented assistant Susan, and my incredible sales team nationwide. I would be happy to spend my life serving and paying all these people back. Thank you!

What can I say? I live life to the fullest and my only fear is the regret I would live with if I didn’t. But enough about me. I want to learn about you.

1. People who will inspire me. I love self-starters and motivators. I love people with ambitions, and I love people who energize the people around them. I want to meet people who are better at something than I am, so that I can learn from them and continue to grow.
2. People whose hearts are full of love. I want to know people that are willing to put others first. I want to know people who strive to grow as a human being by helping others grow as human beings.
3. People who believe, think and act BIG! I want to know people that understand that they need not be subjected to whatever circumstantial reality has befallen them lately. I want to know people who understand that they have the power to create their own reality.
4. People who are passionate about growing. Passion, when combined with the right attitude and emotional stability, will take people further than they ever knew possible. If you’re into personal growth, spiritual growth, or any kind of growth, we’ll probably get along great.
5. People who can be a valuable part of my business network. Real estate agents, investors, mortgage professionals, network marketers, internet marketers, and other successful entrepreneurs. I firmly believe that people get rich together, not alone.
6. People who can be an enriching part of my social network.
