DJ MINGO (DJ/PRODUCER), First began his career in the radio and musical entertainment business at age 15. His first endeavor came in the form of a radio mixologist at his local radio station in the Dominican Republic. His rapid claim to fame materialized upon producing his own mix of Tono Rosario's song 'Kulikitra', a unique blend of Merengue and Reggaeton, that was quickly rejected by Rosario's management. Despite this resistance, Mingo put his rendition of the song on the Internet as a free download and through rapid word-of-mouth the track became a revelation worldwide. The result was worth while as he was quickly approached by numerous well known artists and producers with offers to remix their tracks. DJ Mingo quickly became known as "The Lord of the Remix" while producing a string of classic street remixes. He soon grew the urge for using his talents to develop new artists. Because of this, DJ Mingo has become increasingly reputable in the U.S and is now recognized internationally as one of the leading producers in Reggaeton. His instinctive 'smell' for the new sound on the street and his ability to 'connect' with the club and radio audiences has led to approaches from main stream artists to work on numerous production projects. His constantly evolving and diverse scale of rhythm has gained mass audience appreciation, from the avid house lover to the latin pop puritan. Following global fame from a diverse cluster of club and radio hits, DJ Mingo releases his first Reggaeton compilation album featuring a number of artists including Pitbull, Lil-Jon, and many more. In the summer of 2004, Mingo released an innovative album titled “The Felonyâ€, which primarily featured new artists and reached audiences world-wide. It wasn’t till February of 2005 that DJ Mingo was offered a lucrative position with Clear Channel Radio to oversee the Production department of WMGE, Miami, Mega 94.9 FM. His work ethic and consistent productivity allowed Mega to excel as a competitive force in the South Florida market. Mingo’s success provoked one of the countries power-house Hispanic radio corporations, Spanish Broadcasting System, to pursue him for a position in the nation’s #1 Radio market, Los Angeles, where he currently manages the production department of two of L.A.’s finest radio stations, KLAX 97.9 FM La Raza, and KXOL Latino 96.3 FM.
