CEZA , with which civil name Bilgin Özçalkan, has 1977 in Üsküdar/Istanbul the light of the world seen. His interest in music began in the basic school time, his professional career began with 21 years.
Ceza formed the Rap-duo Nefret together with the Turkish rapper Fuchs, which likewise lives in Istanbul. Their co-operation began 1998, from which the albums " Meclis i ala Istanbul" and " Anahtar" developed. The co-operation of the RAP Duos ended 2003. Reasons for the separation were on the one hand the military service, the Fuchs still to do had and on the other hand the work on solo projects on the part of Ceza and later also from Fuchs. An official separation did not give it however.
Ceza brought so far three solo albums out. The first album Med-Cezir appeared in the year 2002. The second album Rapstar, with features of Ayben (Cezas sister), Sahtiyan, Sagopa Kajmer, Fuchs, Fuat Ergin of Royal Bunker and Fjärde Världen (from Sweden), appeared in the year 2004 and until today over 200.000 times sold itself. The second album was very successfully in Turkey and also in Europe became the name Ceza ever more well-known. Rapstar was simultaneous the official break-through for Ceza and for the Turkish Hip Hop.
For the first time in the year 2005 he arose to the Massive Töne in Germany with the well-known German Rap-crew. They took together the song on Worauf Wartest Du? for their album Zurück in die Zukunft. Ceza' s popularity led to he that one engaged he also for advertising spots, for which he also songs wrote. His first canvas appearance had he Fatih Akýns music documentation Crossing The Bridge - The sound OF Istanbul, in which also his Track Holocoust from the album Rapstar was played. The song is represented beside the album Rapstar also on the pertinent soundtrack to the film.
Ceza is on the 2006 single appeared Gheddo of Eko Fresh in a Turkish Remix of the same name as well as Killa Hakan to hear Yener and Eko.
With that 2006 published studio album Yerli Plaka co-operated Ceza among other things with well-known artists such as Samy Deluxe, Afrob, Eko Fresh, Killa Hakan, Tech N9ne (the USA) or Sezen Aksu.
So far he stepped into europa' s largest Hip Hop and Reggaefestival' s up. Rock' n coke (2005), Splash festival (2006), MTV Hip Hop open (2007) etc.
He appears " to 2007 on the TRACK; Alem Olsun" from the album " Geladen und Entsichert" of Alpa Gun. In 2007 won Ceza the MTV Europe Music Awards as Best Turkish act.
