This band consists of three crazy mofos. We have been considered mentally retarded.I(Michael Furr) began writing music when I was about 10. I started with my little sisters karaoke machine which I commandeered and used for about a year. The music was all done with my mouth and was very painful to listen too. Mainly just Hootie and the Blowfish rip offs. Eventually I found grunge music and began to dabble in more rebellious music culminating with my discovery of psychedelic music signatures. They definitely affected my musical path for years, but I was getting tired of writing really weird stuff. I wanted to play something that you might hear on the radio but you would still be surprised to hear on the radio. I always wanted to be a step ahead with my ideas. I wanted to lead. I wanted my music to be different and to inspire others to be different. Pop doesnt have to be so "poppy" i guess. Anyway, I'm not a big fan of this "emo" craze even though I have had a few of my songs classified as so. I lived in Powder Springs all my life and have gone through a few bands, once playing for Cosmonaut 57 as the drummer. I have tried to learn all the instruments I can so everything you hear on my recordings is all me. Im giving up now and this is probably the last year I'm going for this. So, wish me luck./////////dR. FLAnGe HERE! It all started with rythm, I was 11 when I started playing drums. I would jam with anyone I could. At around 14 or so I started recording with my double tape deck. I would record the drums and then put the tape in the other side and play guitar over the rythm while playing back the other tape and recording. It was pretty lo-fi grungey type stuff. Later i went on to play with great song writers like my friends, Matt Clements in Hedjahr (nirvanaish/soundgardenish and kinda folky on some songs); Matt Walton In broken40 (blues and old school metal/ classical and country); Zach Mauer with The Terrorists, Terible Bad Music or what ever you wanna call us (heavy metal/ industrial/ thrash / hardcore what ever you want to call it heavy music) currently with the great mICHEAL fURR a.k.a. the fur a.k.a. the guy who made about 4 cd's in the month of Febuaury of this year:"THERAPY WONT HELP" 'BAD BEDTIME STORIES" "SORRY MR. FURR..." "AND CONTAGIOUS WORLD" (I will make copies and ship for a small fee if you want a hard copy, its alot of songs, email us here) and is still recording new stuff always and forever! Almost forgot, songster Todd Clary and Chris Hessie and Ivan the Terrible and whoever else i never did anything more with. and of course Dr. FlaNge and the French Empire (gutter pop/ punk /my brain is melting monotonously fantasic music (papa noise and the sunshine torpedo a.k.a. DFxFE. I do recording on a four track tascam but now it is a three track for reasons unknown, its good for the basics but digital is the way to go. I started a family early. I'm 23. I have a 10 month old son and a sweet lovin' woman. I play drums, guitar (not much lead) bass, keyboard (enough to get the job done) my voice (mostly eraticly consistant and sometimes nice sounding) all different tribal instruments (stringed or percusion or made it myself a.k.a. trash can lid and other, etc.) and last but not least a line6 tone core liqua flange with what ever i can plung into it.
