About Me

Welcome to the Official MySpace of Churchill Drive!
Upbeat and fun Blues-infused Rock and Roll with a splash of sweet Soul, righteous R&B, sassy Swing, Southern spices, Country gristle and tasty Jazz....If you're in need a of a great live band for just about any occasion, you've come to the right place!
We specialize in providing professional live entertainment for festivals and parties. If you have an event, we have the band. Or, maybe you're a singer songwriter in need of a well rehearsed band to record or perform your material, we're here to help! Weddings, birthdays, any special occasion. We'll even play your bankruptcy if you like (but we'll ask that you pay in advance for that one!)
Churchill Drive is a brand new band comprised of four fun loving musicians with a passion for making great music. We're big fans of music from all roots-based genres such as Blues, Jazz, Rock, & Soul. We also like Funk, Swing, Motown, Rockabilly and Country (back when it was still "Country"), etc... we pretty much like anything that has a 'real' and 'honest' quality to it... toe-tappers, spine-wigglers, head-bobbers, tear-jerkers...you know, songs that move you deep inside your spirit and remind you you're a human being.
This band was formed with the sole intent of bringing an audience a good time with great live music delivered with an entertaining performance. Let's have some FUN!
We're writing, recording, and performing original music as well as covering songs by legendary artists. When it comes to covering songs by other artists, our main focus is placed on bringing you timeless songs you don't hear everyday, and we will always add something fresh and exciting of our own to the music. In time, our own songwriting will be a large part of our identity as well.
We are very experienced musicians and we'll bring the right music to your event at the right volume. We can provide a show with tasteful tunes at a reasonable volume for the "grown ups", and we can rock the house as loud as the "kids" can stand it if need be. If you have specific music in mind for your party we'll glady accommodate your requests if possible. We also have 1000's of songs on-hand to provide music while we're not on stage.
We invite you to come along and enjoy the ride...er..uh..Drive?...with us as we take our individual influences and life-long musical experiences and put a fresh new spin on some great, classic music. We have the music, the desire, and the talent... we just need YOU!
Welcome to Churchill Drive!
We frequently post recent pictures and live recordings from our recent performances, so please check back from time to time. If you have another free minute or two please visit www.churchilldrive.com and leave us a note in our guestbook. Thanks!

Influences: Our musical influence comes from pretty much everything under the Sun. We each have our favorites, and music is a huge part of our lives. There is melody and rythym around us almost everywhere everyday and we draw inspiration from all of it. We're experienced musicians who love to improvise and play "in the moment". We can find something inspiring in just about anything and turn it into a part of our own unique musical voice. We're especially inspired by powerful and meaningful music that gives you goosebumps and chills. We are hoping to keep that music alive and pass those "goosebumps" on to a new generation. Here's a short list of some of the artists we listen to and cover: (In no particular order)The Electric Flag, The Allman Brothers Band, John Mayer, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Ray Charles, The Jeff Healey Band, Little Feat, The Funk Brothers (Motown! yeah baby, yeah!), Larry McCray, Peter Green, King Curtis, The Meters, Jeff Beck, Stevie Wonder, Delbert McClinton, Boz Scaggs, John Lee Hooker, Miles Davis, Tommy Castro, The Derek Trucks Band, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bob Seger, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Kid Rock, Elmore James, Gary Moore, Steve Winwood, Albert Collins, Little Milton, Robben Ford, The Steve Miller Band, Walter Trout, Tab Benoit, Eric Clapton...and of course our biggest influence is YOU, the live audience, giving back to us what we give to you. Music is a powerful gift and it's biggest strength outside of healing is it's ability to bring unity no matter what age, sex, race, or social status we occupy, in music we can be ONE.
Sounds Like: Churchill Drive: Two lead guitars and a swingin' rhythm section playing upbeat rockin' blues with strong vocals and sweet harmony!******************************05/22/2008 Update: Duane, a visitor to our website guestbook(curchilldrive.com), has asked us to change our "sounds like" text to read as follows: "Two Jaw-Dropping lead guitarists...". We're OK with that Duane ;) Thank you very much! You RAWK!!!
