About Me

jesse arsement and james phelps started jamming in early 2001 and developed a friendship as well as worked on a few metal projects before settling down as Typecast in 2005 with john teague and steven woodard. We played around and had alot of good times, but ultimately the band split up.. and it was time to start searching harder for the right people. eric sparks was a local guitarist who played the 7 string and we knew him as a heavey playing guitarist with alot of the same influences. We got together with him and started a project called "the kingdom mafia" which has been pushing strong for going on 2 years now. still needing a bassist.. and we all know how fun it is trying to find one, dustin whitmore a long time friend known as the legendary "BIZKITZ" stepped up and assumed the role overnight. For almost 2 years charlie sullivan was our front man, but we recently parted ways and started the search for the new lungs. but after only one day john teague showed up to an audition and blew us away! so as of now, we are proud to announce john teague as our new front man, and welcome him to tkm.Shout out to those who have supported us over the year we've been together, get the word out and help us promote the kingdom mafia! But most importantly, get yourself involved in your local music scene, it's important to keep it alive. Make it to a local show from time to time, or buy a shirt and cd. BIG shout out to Tommy Man of the www.localmusicguide.net who has done an amazing amount of work for the local music scene, so visit his site if you are interested in learning about the golden triangle and want to get to know some of the bands from this area. and THANK YOU VERY MUCH to all the people who have came out to see us, who have supported us, and who will continue to support us.. we without a doubt love you, and fuckin love south east texas baby!!!!!!!!!!
Special shout out to Big dog 106 who has went out of there way to make a LOCAL MUSIC SHOW aired every sunday, you got to hear it.. It's fucking awesome how local musicians can get some air time and be heard. All i can say is i've heard so many local bands on the show plus interviews, and it has boosted this scene up alot... can't ask for more.
