Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Vera began studying music, piano and a variety of dance at the age of 6 including studying vocals at the National Opera House. At age 17 she began work as a vocalist and radio DJ. While studying Business and Economics at the University, Vera spent 5 years acting, singing and writing funny songs for a stand up comedy show called KVN.

At age 19 miss Ostrova stated "screw business" and moved to the States, mainly Los Angeles, to pursue what she loves and lives for - music. Music became Vera's focus as she continued with vocal lessons while making great musician friends, including Jonathan who is now her personal manager and CEO of a company ArtistForce ArtistForce . Song-writer kept contact with an old friend and music producer named Roman from Moscow. United by love for electronic sound remotely they created a few great tracks simply cause they loved doing it. In 2005 Pitch Music in Moscow expressed an interest in Vera and Roman's collaborations and Vera made the move to Moscow to be signed by the label in 2006. The adventure in Moscow, and working with Roman in person, included writing tracks such as successful 'Runaway' (Second Skin feat. Vera Ostrova) played world wide by Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyke, Marcus Schultz and many more. And a soon to be released by Pitch Music minimal vocal house track named 'Cloud of Dusk'. Vera returned to the states after 8 exciting months in Moscow and continues to work with Roman on their beloved projects The Bluestorm and Vert Tree . The records will be different and eclectic; featuring pop, electronic, trip hop, minimal with an array of live instruments.

This Russian Beauty is a small woman in stature with big plans for life. She digs deep into herself to find an understanding of life, the universe and people, expressing that through singing and songwriting. She intends on inspiring people by creating shows in which music is a door to eternity. A flow of the heart is how Vera describes her songs.
"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels? We make tools for these kinds of people. While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do." - Steve Jobs, Apple Computers.
