Bias was the brain-child of bassist and songwriter Adam Bray and drummer and songwriter Nathan Boll. It was originally a four piece band with one guitar, bass, drums and vocals but after a while they became a five piece band with two guitarists. After guitarists Dave and Jessie Ellias left the band to pursue other paths in life, the band hired guitarist Wolf Navarro ( former front-man for the national touring act Grinch) along with the addition of keyboard player Lenny Pettinelli. The two of them brought a whole new sound to the group! The band now had it’s own unique sound and a slew of great original tunes full of ripping solos, well crafted and well sung lyrics... this band did not screw around in the studio or live!!! As lead vocalist Leah Crenshaw took the tunes to new heights with her soulful powerful voice... the band raged on behind her. Drummer Nathan Boll laying down smooth grooves for Bassist Adam to lay a foundation of funk-a-licious, dance-able riffs sure to get any hottie in the house moving! Guitarist Wolf used his years of tone-questing and guitar effects knowledge to take the solo sections to new levels! Lenny helped the band tighten up their sound with his killer ear , raging keyboard playing and years of studying music at Humboldt State University! All in all ,this band was a musically fun experience for all! Always having a good time when they played BIAS had a really great run!! Opening for such national acts as Fishbone, Leftover Salmon and a host of other great bands they were a fantastic act to catch!!! With fans still screaming to this day "play just one more show!" BIAS was an amazingly unique sounding and awesome band.... Maybe we’ll see them again...who knows what the future holds for any of us?!?!?!?!
