"I won't be a rock star. I will be a legend." -- Freddie Mercury www.spinner.com/2008/02/22/shocking

About Me

Born and raised in Hialeah, FL. Had a great time, but was glad to leave. And now I reside in the Pines. I'm surrounded by a wonderful family, and next to them, Rock, Jazz, and music in general really keep me going day to day. I'm a Sax player, and am an all round nice guy. Unless of course, you really anger me, then I'm fully I'm a regular Mr. Angry face.
Really. Besides that, i'm just jolly!

Liberal Tree Hugger huh? Hit me and see what happens? :) I'm political, historical, and mean. And I think some of my ppl on here really take waayyy too many pictures of themselves. I mean really!

My Interests

Music, Art, History, and Politics. Oh and dwarfish shade tress. ..
Long May You Reign!

If you can name this band, then you are definitely an old school Rock fan. I mean, they are only arguably the greatest Heavy Metal Band of All Time!

I almost feel bad for this guy... he's like a hapless little puppy, with huge teeth.

This what being a Network Administrator is like. Please watch the video. You'll especially like it, if u r in the IT field, AND if you have seen Platton (the Vietname War movie by Oliver Stone) The last few seconds are great, notice the similarity to this pic:

"The benevolent and wise are being thwarted, ostracized, what a bummer
The world keeps getting dumber
Insensitivity is standard
And faith is being fancied over reason
The Idiots have Taken Over." NOFX

Below are some reasons for guys to love the World Cup. Nascar Aint got nothing on it.

I'd like to meet:

Cool Moe Dee, Freddy Mercury, Gooey Louie (the Garbage Pail Kid), Jesus Christ, President Bill Clinton, Sitting Bull, Colonel Joshua L. Chamberlain, Joseph of Arimethea, General Napoleon Bonaparte, General Patton, Abraham Lincoln, Bruce Dickinson, Eddy Vedder, Thucydides, Plato, Moses, any of the Spartan Kings, Alexander the Great, Senator John Kerry, Jeff Buckley, Charlie Parker, John Glenn, Neil Armstrong, Bruce Lee, a real Viking (not is berserk mode, and safely behind bars), President John and Senator Bobby Kennedy, Geddy Lee, Neil Peart, John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, Dr. Martin Luther King, William Wallace, King Harold II, William the Conqueror, Hillary Clinton, Amelia Earnheart, any hero of ww2, Panzer General Rommel, Leonardo Davinci, the real King Arthur, Spartacus, Christopher Columbus, Geronimo, Nostrodamus, John Lenon, Tolkien, Shakespeare, Hannibal of Carthage, Al Gore, FDR, Teddy Roosevelt, George Washington, and I'm sure many more.

Music:

Always a changing list. But a recent blog made me think about bands that I can say have actually had an affect on my life. They are, in no particular order: Pearl Jam, Queen, Radio Head, Iron Maiden, old Metallica, Pink Floyd, Rush and The Inside.Bands I think rock: Just too many to mention. Jazz is the king of cool, and classical is mathematical. I'm also a fan of some locally grown music that has had some far reaching success.!
..

Paquito D' Rivera - Internationally Recognized Virtuoso Saxophonist & Clarinetist. A cure for those things melancholy.

Movies:

Foreign movies are excellent! Watching a good foreign film, is akin to curling up to a good book; I find you can really get into the characters, the plots, the places even. Well, moving on, as for my list of movies, here it is:
Lost in Translation, Sex and Lucia, The Stoned Age, Cyranno de Bergerac w/ Gerard DePardieu, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, A Clockwork Orange, Shakespeare In Love, Saving Private Ryan, The Life Aquatic, Napoleon Dynamite, Gettysburg, The Unforgiven, Blazing Saddles, LOTR, Narnia - Lion Witch and Wardrobe,French Films, L' Auberge espagnole, La Cage Aux Folles, AND a few others. ..

Television:

Well I DON'T watch American Idol, or Dancing with the stars or whatever, or the Bachelor, or any of these other ridiculous "this is what's wrong w America" programs and sitcoms. Now that that is out of the way, I am a Seinfeld, and Will and Grace Fan. Yes, I did say Will and Grace. ..

Books:

Too many I've read, too many still to read, but The Wheel of Time series stands out! and Shogun! I really don't read enough.

Heroes:

My Dad. Spartacus...
