Gravity Euphonic started in 1995 when Eric Hunter II and Justin McKimmey started the band. At the time, the flavor was metal and punk, but in 1999 they started experimenting with keyboards, electronic loops and samples. Their second album, released in 2000 and titled the I Promise Project marked the beginning of the sound that has developed into the industrial rock sound found in the music today.
From 2000 until 2003, Gravity Euphonic played throughout Texas and the surrounding areas releasing four more discs including Full Circle (2001), One More Thing (2002), Evolution (2002) and Synaesthesia Purple (2003). (Although these albums are no longer being offered by the band, they continue to perform selected tracks as well as offer them for download online).
Gravity Euphonic experienced many changes around 2003. The band once again took on a more experimental sound, and around the same time, vocalist Justin McKimmey temporarily left the group for a few years to pursue other projects. James French played the role of vocalist during this time and the Secret EP was released. In 2006, Gravity Euphonic embarked on an East Coast tour, and shared the stage with many notable acts including, Mankind is Obsolete, VAST and Spider Lilies (featuring members of the Cruxshadows). Justin returned during the tour and has since rejoined Gravity Euphonic.
More recently, Gravity Euphonic has completed their second East Coast US tour in support of their latest endeavor, Sunlight Kills. Tracks from the album, including Tragedy and Dance or Die have been met with much success and have been receiving airplay in gothic-industrial dance clubs and several radio programs across the country. Gravity Euphonic is currently working on new material and has been playing shows in the Southern United States. The current live line-up consists of Eric, Justin and Meggie.
