Steve always looks happy, energetic, and loves playing music. It has been said by several people "If your feet are not tapping yet, just wait until Steve gets behind the drums, they will be!"Steve's childhood was surround by music and his love for music stems from a very musical family history; his father played the harmonica and his Grandfather played the fiddle in barn dances, his Great-uncle was a folk artist that wrote his own songs and was played on the radio. Also Steve's musical roots go as far back, to his Great-aunt the legendary Patsy Cline.The first time Steve focused on playing drums seriously was at the age of 13, when Steve and his brother formed a band and they played for church events, anniversaries, private parties, Steve also performed with Rich Mulins and in a Theatre Musical Comedy "Nunsense" and several public gigs around his small home town. The first concert Steve saw was PETRA where he met Louie Weaver, who has been a great inspiration and a life long friend.When Steve was in the High School band he won the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award, Ensembles, Percussion, and Madrigal Award. After High School, Steve went to South Dakota State University (Percussion Major), Music Tech Minneapolis Minnesota, then attended Musicians Institute Hollywood, Californa and graduated with Journeyman Percussion Certificate.While in Los Angeles Califormia, Steve recorded 4 projects at Dream House Studios; An in house CD (gospel), "Lyngo" (alternative punk band), Alisha Girard (Solo CD) Alisha used the CD as a demo and was signed with Sparrow Recording Group "ZOEGirl". Steve also recorded an opening theme song for a nationally syndicated Tv show.Steve eventually found himself moving to Nashville to get into the music business. Steve has played and /or toured with: "Travis LeDoyt", "The Waiting", "LaRue", Jon Fulton, "True Vibe", and did various radio commercials/ jingles such as Cross-Town Couriers, etc., 2003 Steve joined Zack Robbins and helped form Zack Robbins and Rollin' Thunder, 2004 Steve performed at the C M A Music Festival, opening for "Joe Nichols" with Zack Robbins and Rollin' Thunder, Steve also performed during the home games for the National Hockey League Team "The Nashville Predators" that was shown on national television. Steve has played numerous gigs and shows around Nashville encluding The Stage, legendary Tootsies, GEC Center, etc. of lower broad with Zack Robbins and Roll'n Thunder, and Troy Bullock and 1 Nite Rodeo. He also recorded with Zack Robbins and Roll'n Thunder.Steve is currently providing the "thunder" for Samantha Madison & WildCard Coming soon in 2009 to a city near YOU!
