"Conceived in an Irish pub in New York by vocalist/guitarist Daf Williams and bassist Dan Brewin on the way back from a drunken night out at legendary punk haunt CBGB's, Panel solidified into a real-life band back in their native South Wales in the summer of 2000. After a couple of reshuffles, they finally settled on their current lineup in the February of 2004. Completed by second guitarist Jason Addicott and drummer Mark Hicks, they pick up where the hardcore and alternative rock bands of the mid-90s left off, or went off the boil: aggressive, complex metal-tinged hardcore that's serious, but not po-faced; passionate, but never cloying. With well over six years worth of gigging behind them, including shows with the likes of Hell Is For Heroes, Champions Of Sound, Brant Bjork, Jetplane Landing, Funeral For A Friend, Biffy Clyro, Amplifier and many more, Panel have matured into a well-revered band with a fierce live reputation."

Some nice things people have said about us.....
"Something quite fucking spectacular Amazing, pummelling and powerful
songs." 9/10 - www.nextstopnowhere.co.uk
"Furiously brutal gems of songs." 5/5 - www.rockmidgets.com
"Excelling in the art of creating startling introductions and impressive musical variations, bending any genres the band maybe pigeon holed in is a task the band take to with ease."
"Recalling the likes of Quicksand topped off with arctic metal shudders and the obligatory raging rhythm section. Very noisy, very nice." - Big Issue
"It makes me sweat just listening to it, and yes, you should take a chance on it. It just feels good."
- Logo-Magazine.com
"Panel are holding the fort for decent UK hardcore." - Honk Magazine
"Panel have been consistently at the top of their game. Holding the tuff-melody secret that made bands like Quicksand and Helmet such a blast." - Rocksound
"An intricate guitar blend with a melodic post-hardcore messiness worthy of further investigation." - Rocksound
"No-nonsense post-hardcore champions born in the spirit of Fugazi, Quicksand, and other such solemn punk types." - NME
"With Lostprophets, Funeral For A Friend and Bullet For My Valentine unashamedly taking on the world, its hardly as if the Welsh valleys are short of a rock band or eight. You can add Panel to that list now, however, and certainly dont assume theyre relevant to the aforementioned triumvirate via anything other than location. Moulding satisfying guitar globules that demand the word angular to get involved, therere glimpses of the usual Quicksand-style touch-points, fortified with a no-nonsense approach not dissimilar to that employed by stoner rocks aristocracy. In other words, check em out." Adam Anonymous, www.new-noise.net
"As a steady stream of black-clad and kohl-eyed teenagers form long lines to get through the gates, those already inside the colossal, Y-shaped tent get things underway with Panel. Having supported Funeral For A Friend the previous night in Southampton, the sizeable crowd doesn't elicit the apprehension it might have done and the Cardiff fourpiece get straight into a blistering, riff-heavy 20-minute set. Four songs, numerous time changes and their trademark melodic, rocky post-hardcore - most notably on the awesome Blind Summit - gets the first circle pit of the day going." - BBC Wales Full Ponty Review
