About Me

Hmmmm...About me...I love to smile. People are always asking me, "Are you ALWAYS this happy?" The answer is no. I'm not always happy...I can just always find something to smile about. "It could always be worse." I am very optimistic and definitely not a realist. I love listening to an amazing song while driving in the car with the windows rolled down when the sun's shining bright. I love frolicking on the beach. I love taking a steaming hot bubble bath with an ice cold beer. I love shoes and handbags. Great wine and the ocean are two of my favorite things. Music is my greatest passion. If I had to choose, I'd be blind before deaf any day. I love food! all kinds, but I could eat Mexican food everyday. My favorite cocktail is a Mojito, my favorite color is yellow. I love Central Park in the Summer and Manhattan in general, especially at Christmas. I love to be on a boat and secretly desire to be an avid sailor. I love to people watch. I also love to dog watch at Dog Beach. I love playing "what movie is this line from?" with my sister. I love when it rains and the sun is still shining. I love bonfires on the beach with music (Kumbaya is a must...teehee...) I couldn't live without my amazing family and friends. I am truly blessed in that department. I love visits from my father when I need him the most. I love to skip. I am a believer in fate and destiny. My favorite flowers are Gerber Daisies and Lilies. I love thunderstorms and going outside during a hurricane (only very mild ones)! I love to cuddle. I love naps in the afternoon. My favorite smells are puppy breath, freshly cut grass and the smell of concrete when it just begins to rain. Shuffleboard is my favorite sport to play (yes, it's a sport). I dislike people who don't keep their word. These people intentionally hurt you. I don't like people who are negative or disrespectful. It especially urks me when people take advantage of the things that they have and forget that many people are much less fortunate. My LEAST favorite thing of all is a broken heart. And that my friends, is "about me" in a nutshell. Cheers!

Favorites include...Shakespear In Love, Love Actually, Waiting for Guffman, American Beauty, Shawshank Redemption, Almost Famous, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Mean Girls, March of the Penguins, Garden State, My Life Without Me, The Family Stone, Boondock Saints, Whale Rider, Donnie Darko...I also love surf films.

Television:

Grey's Anatomy, What About Brian, CSI:Las Vegas, Project Runway, Top Chef, The Nine and reruns of Sex and the City, and I love GAMESHOW NETWORK! Beware, it can easily become an addiction. Matchgame, old school Family Feud, Lingo and Who Wants to be a Millionaire are definitely my favorites. I also use to be a reality show junkie...I know, I know, It's terrible! I dig ANY reality show. Real Housewives of the OC, The Biggest Loser, the BACHELOR or BACHELORETTE!! Okay, I'm done making a fool of myself.

Books:

THE GRIFFIN AND SABINE SERIES (which began as a trilogy and grew) written and illustrated by Nick Bantock. He is ABSOLUTELY brilliant as an illustrator and storyteller. Anything by Sophie Kinsella. Her wit is hysterical and I can Completely relate to Becky (start with Confessions of a Shopaholic). I also enjoy Nicholas Sparks. I am a true sucker for love and romance.

Heroes:

MY BROTHER, WHO IS FIGHTING TO PROTECT OUR FREEDOM FOR THE SECOND TIME IN KUWAIT/IRAQ AND MY MOTHER, FOR HER STRENGTH AND BECAUSE SHE'S AMAZING.
