About Me

He paid a debt He didn't owe, because we owed a debt we couldn't pay. He died 4 me... I live 4 Him. ..Check out my website!Seven Sorrows - Roman Catholic Rock musicH4J - Guardian Angel Youth Ministry www.homerun4jesus.comI'm a 25 year old child of God. I am a Catholic Christian. My faith, without question, is what defines me as a person. Without it, I wander in a world of darkness. With it, I strive every single day to know more about God, to love Him more, and to serve Him more. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. By His precious blood, shed on the cross at Calvary 2,000 years ago, I was redeemed. Although I was born a child of wrath, stained with Original Sin, I was made right with my Father in heaven through the waters of baptism. After spending some of my years as a prodigal son, I was called back home to my Father by the working of the Holy Spirit. Once I returned, I repented, changed my entire life, surrendered entirely to the will of Christ, and started fresh as a new creation. I devoted my life to the service of Almighty God, pledging to go into the spiritual war against Satan and all the angels who fell with him before the creation of the world. I realize that the kingdom I belong to exists in this world, but is not of this world. As such, much of the world does not understand my message and rejects it, just as it did to Jesus Christ and the apostles. Still, I press forward, always keeping my eyes focused on the eternal prize and my soul focused on the end goal, which is heaven. I echo the words of Mark 1:15: "Repent, and believe in the gospel!" This shall be my cry until my final breath leaves me. I know that apart from Christ, I can do nothing; but through Him, I can do all things (John 15:5; Philippians 4:13). He empowers me by His Sacraments, continually through the Eucharist and Reconciliation; by His holy Word (the Bible and Sacred Tradition); by the Catholic Church, which is His living voice on earth. I love my Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary, who leads me closer to Jesus Christ. The more I look to her, the more she guides me into a deeper love of her Son. She is one awesome Lady! My patron saint is St. Nicholas, commonly known today as Santa Claus; a powerful witness to the love and humility of Christ; he was a bishop in the 4th century. My faith truly is the heart and soul of who I am, and my guide as to where I hope to go once this life ends.I am married to the beautiful Carolanne, who was brought to me by the hand of God. She has encouraged me in my walk with Christ, and has helped me to experience God's love even more than I ever knew possible. We were married on November 12th, 2004. I am a full time director of youth ministry for Guardian Angel Catholic Church, a tiny parish in Southern California. It may be small, but it's witness to the gospel of Jesus speaks loudly. Our youth ministry is called Homerun 4 Jesus, and all those involved with it (teens and Leaders) are official Rebels 4 Christ. Our website is www.homerun4jesus.com . I drum for a Catholic rock band called Seven Sorrows. Our sole mission is to bring others closer to Christ through the gift of music. Our website is www.sevensorrows.com . I teach RCIA classes, Bible studies, and Confirmation classes. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Catholic theology. I am currently in the process of writing my first book, tentatively entitled "Rebels 4 Christ: How to be Catholic Without Compromise in a Godless World". I am a Godfather to three, one through Baptism and the other two through Confirmation. I run and operate the lay evangelization / apologetics site www.kingdomofchrist.net , and along with my father am a co-founder of www.ourlordslighthouse.com . To purchase my conversion testimony, go here: http://www.ourlordslighthouse.com/ada1000000.htmlWHAT IS THE GOSPEL? Here's an acrynom to never forget: God's Only Son Provides Eternal Life. The very heart of the Gospel message is John 3:16-17 and 1 John 4:10. John 3:16-17-- For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. 1 John 4:10-- In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.

My Interests

Does God Exist?.. .... War of Ages.. "Demon Hunter - Undying" ... . . . . . . Me, my beautiful wife, my future sister-in-law, and baby bro Jon . . . .I love my faith. I love reading the Bible, learning more about my Lord Jesus Christ. I love studying the Catholic Christian faith. I love praying and talking to God, hearing Him speak to me. I love my Blessed Mother and all the saints who pray for me. I love my Guardian Angel. I love my wife Carolanne. I do not deserve her, so I am so grateful that God blessed me with her. I love youth ministry, bringing teens closer to Christ. I love playing Nintendo (old school, not the new fancy stuff). I love playing drums. I love hanging out at Starbucks, drinking lattes, and reading from the Bible.

I'd like to meet:

I would love to meet the Blessed Mother and my Guardian Angel one day in heaven. I'd also love to meet my patron saint, St. Nicholas. I pray that one day in heaven I'll also get to meet St. Pio, St. Francis, Mother Teresa, and John Paul II. I have the undeserved privilege of being able to meet Jesus Christ every single week at Holy Mass, when He comes to us in the appearance of bread and wine in the Eucharist.

Music:

SACRO SONG 3 by Fr. Stan Fortuna: best cd ever! I listen to Demon Hunter, Becoming the Archetype, As I Lay Dying, War of Ages, Besieged, Disciple, Haste the Day, P.O.D., No Innocent Victim, Still Remains, Underoath, Fallin Up, the Showdown, Seven Sorrows, Point 5 Covenant, Fr. Stan Fortuna, Matt Maher, Rise, TheMATERIAL, InMemory, old school Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby, Journey, Michael Jackson. I love jazz, blues, and big band music. Glenn Miller Orchestra rocks. I love praise and worship music. "When you sing, you pray twice."

Movies:

Favorite films in order: 1. FACING THE GIANTS! 2. Passion of the Christ! 3. Pope John Paul II! 4. Padre Pio - Miracle Man! 5. Rocky Balboa! Other films I love: Jesus of Nazareth, Therese, all the Rocky movies, Flywheel, On the Waterfront, Cinderella Man, Indiana Jones trilogy, The Karate Kid trilogy, Spiderman 3, The Ten Commandments (Charlton Heston rocks), Miracle of Our Lady at Fatima, Napoleon Dynamite, A Goofy Movie, An Extremely Goofy Movie, The Chipmunk Adventure, The Goonies, Invincible.

Television:

I don't watch television anymore. My wife and I got rid of basic cable. There's just barely anything good on anymore. Spiritually, tv has gotten so bad. I do miss EWTN, though. I used to love watching Archbishop Fulton Sheen and Fr. Corapi (both hardcore rebels 4 Christ).

Books:

The Holy Bible (all 73 books) by God, Jesus of Nazareth by Pope B16, Salt of the Earth by Cardinal Ratzinger, Crossing the Threshold of Hope by JPII, The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis, Catholicism and Fundamentalism by Karl Keating, Upon This Rock by Stephen Ray, Spirit of the Liturgy by Cardinal Ratzinger, More Than a Carpenter by Josh McDowell

Heroes:

Jesus Christ-- the victory that has conquered the world is our faith in Christ (1 John 5:4)... Also, all of us should look to the saints in heaven as our heroes, since they are the ultimate examples of people who imitated Christ while on this earth. The saints I pray to consistently to intercede for me are St. Michael the Archangel (who spiritually wages war with Satan), St. Padre Pio (the famous stigmatist priest of the past century), St. Maria Gorreti (for purity), St. Joseph (to help me grow as a husband), St. Nicholas (my patron saint, defender of children and those in poverty), St. Faustina (Saint of Divine Mercy), St. Therese (to help me grow in simplicity and humility), Bl. Teresa of Calcutta (to help me grow in service and charity), St. Francis of Assisi (for a growth in holiness) and Pope St. Pius X (a staunch defender against the heresy prevalent in our society today, modernism and relativism). My other heroes are my wife Carolanne, parents and step parents, my brother Jon, my close friends, and my parish priest Fr. Steve Guitron.
