Aspiring Journalist Practices Writing On Website

About Me

Fun-loving, laid-back, sassy, willing to try almost anything. I love singing and playing the piano (which I've been playing for almost 13 years now). I also love the outdoors ... just hiking and wandering around outside can make me very happy. Soccer and rock-climbing (I'm a beginner at it, but I love it!) are also some of my favorite activities, although that doesn't necessarily means I'm great at either. But I don't care. ;)

My Interests

Writing. Obviously. You see, generally questions like this bother me because i like to have a point to what i'm writing, and this category is just too vague. So this is your chance to be nosy and ask. Come on. I dare you.

I'd like to meet:

Someone with a very open mind, a great sense of humor (so important. seriously.), a tremendous amount of tolerance, and mi gran esperanza, a good heart.

Music:

All kinds, but mostly country, jazz, big band and instrumentals. By the way, orchestras are incredible. And for those of you that don't know, the cello has the most sensual sound of any instrument in existence. You use your whole body to play that instrument, and it moves with you. How sexy is that? Think about it ...

Movies:

i'm a sucker for black and white movies, i guess since my dad and bonded over them when i was a kid. and also because one of my first real big movie stars crushes was gregory peck from "to kill a mockingbird." i mean, who couldn't fall in love with atticus finch?

Television:

This is where i get nerdy. i don't care what anyone says ... M*A*S*H was television genius. The writing was witty, moving and provocative (for the times, anyways), the ensemble cast was magical and the style downright creative. There. i've said it. Now, i can go on to crash and burn my credibility by saying that Futurama is a close second on my list, because making fun of the obvious flaws of humanity is funny. We crazy humans ... we need a humility check very now and then.

Books:

Anything.

Heroes:

My mothers, my grandmothers, and my aunts ... For putting up with crazy husbands and crazy children.
