Well, it sounded intelligent like.

About Me

I've been playing on an out-of-tune piano since I was three. Hence, why I don't have perfect pitch and don't play the piano.I once pretended I was a french translator. It ended with the American thinking the Frenchman had just given him directions on how to get to Prague by horseback, and the Frenchman thinking the American had just called him a "cheese omelet."I also pretended that I wasn't a counselor at a band camp, but everyone saw through that. I found this layout design on PureLayouts.com - check out their MySpace Layouts .

My Interests

John Singer Sargent, Charles Courtney Curran, and any other painter with three names.

I'd like to meet:

Today? Today I'd like to meet Jean- Baptiste Maunier or perhaps even Ezra Pound. Tomorrow? I don't know, ask me then.

Music:

Band Marino. Rufus Wainwright. Death cab for cutie. Matt Costa. Jose Gonzales. Cat Power. Damien Rice. Dave Matthews. And who else but Django Reinhardt?

Movies:

Foreign films.

Television:

So it turns out I'm a sucker for ghost hunters and scrubs.

Books:

Papa Hemingway, Joel Chandler Harris, Austen, Dove, and this awesome book I found from 1964 called "Surviving with Stlye." So just in case I find myself deserted by my lonesome, not only can I survive, but I can survive in my two story shelter made out of twigs, mud, and shagg carpet.

Heroes:

Captain Rue Drake, First Mate Constance Basingstokes, and Navigator Ethel Rackham (who just gave birth to a little pirate (Pirate name still pending.))

My Blog

And so it goes.

Who ever said bad things come in threes is an outright ass. University is amazing, don't get me wrong. I couldn't have asked for a better schedule of classes and all my professors are really great.&n...

You're not cool unless you have a didgeridoo.

This spring break I took trip by my lonesome to see some friends at FSU, UF, and UNF. While at those places I was always with friends and occupied with amazing things. That, however, is for anoth...

I'm the kind of person who pretends to know what's going on around me.

So they call Boston "the walking city." It's true enough, to be sure. If you can find your way to Quincy Market, you can find your way to any other part of the city. Though, if you find yourself tire...

Smoking jackets and bubble pipes.

So there I was.The fourth floor of the Harvard Natural History Museum. It wasn't a true floor since it overlooked the third floor in the center. That didn't provide any extra light, however, since the...

Boycott your umbrellas and play in the rain.

It's great that doing your own grocery shopping goes hand-in-hand with buying whatever the hell you want. For some people, this results in a freezer full of t.v. dinners and a pantry filled with boxes...

There is no greater pleasure in the world than drawing a mustache on a picture of John Morgan.

About two years ago when our washer broke, we hired a man to come and look at it. He said the land our house was built on (mostly sand, since its an island) wasn't meant for a washer. Wait,...

Sweet you rock and sweet you roll.

"Your mother!" "You think every cloud looks like my mother." "This one really does look like her! Look: eyes, nose, eyebrows... brilliant." "My mother has not got a beard."   In other news, I'm w...

So I almost got a tattoo, but it turns out I really am a wuss.

So it turns out that the 20 hour drive to Texas really is as bad as it seems. But I suppose it's worth it to say that I have slept in a car on the side of a dirt road in God-knows-where Texas. Yes, I...

Oh my goodness, how I love chocolate chip pancakes.

Sometimes they're just better without being reheated, despite what Mander and Matt say. At least, that was my thought on Saturday night. I also had a brilliant idea for the entire Spanish language. I...

I claim this land in the name of me.

So there I was. Lake Jesup Park. Lake Jesup being the lake with more aligators in it than anywhere else in North America. Wednesday my dad came over and brought me my camera bag with him. Lately, I'v...
