Sacha Baptista

Hi, my name is Sacha Baptista (my stage name is Sachista , aka the puma because of the way I slide on the fretboard, puma style) and both my names rhyme with pizza which is a good thing because I love pizza... Pizza is the essential tool of rock and overcooked pizza makes for a great guitar pick ! Hum…Anyway, I thought I’d start with the essential information.
I was born under a bad sign in the still of the night in 1988. As I was born when legendary guitarists like Steve Lynch, Jake E.Lee, Vito Bratta, Warren DeMartini, Steve Vai, Mark Kendall were at the top of their musical success and prowess, it was logical destiny that I would grow to love hard rock... Very early on, my fingers were yearning to play devilish licks…As a result, as a baby I played on my mother’s hair as if they were guitar strings... My mum is now partly bald because I shredded too much...I feel a bit bad about it sometimes...She has since forgiven me.
My first guitar was the Playskool "suitable for children under 5 years old" rx200 model and consisted of three buttons and a pink pick-up. It played three notes so I could play most ACDC songs. Hahaha joking..
I started playing with a real guitar when I was 14. I have learned a lot with my teachers and alone too. I write a lot of music and like varying the music styles as much as possible.
My biggest inspiration is Serge...Not only he is good looking but he has the spirit of rock...He can tame dragons with his guitar playing...It has to be seen to be believed !
