Lifting up the Name of Jesus

About Me

Voyager Ministries was originally formed back in 1992 as a band then known as 925. 925 was comprised of Chris Throckmorton, Pete Evans and myself, Scott Latham. The main focus at the time was predominantly on your stereotypical love songs, guy meets girl or guy loses girl. A few years later, Chris and I opted to start the recording of more along the lines of contemporary praise and worship tunes as opposed to just songs dealing with romance between a guy and a girl. Well, people move away and get married so the band eventually dissolved after a few years. Everyone at this point has gone there own separate ways in their lives but Voyager Ministries was kept alive as a product of my desire to lift up Christ with song. Along with the praise and worship tunes being written and recorded now, the occasional love song still manages to find its way out to the recording floor. Afterall, God is love and what He did for us all is the ultimate example of that word. This site is just one more form of outreach, one more way of sharing God’s message through song to people who may otherwise never get an opportunity to hear His message of love and salvation. I invite anyone who comes to this page to spend a little bit of time getting to know this man named Jesus and the wonderful things that He has done for you and I as well as the many wonderful things still in store for our lives.
