I spent my university years in London, but when the home office were ready to chuck me out when my visa expired, I wound up in West Virginia for a year working for a homeless housing and service organization and working on the formation of a statewide coalition to end homelessness. Then I spent a few months in Tampa. I've been in New Orleans for awhile now, again working on issues around homelessness and economic disparity -- working to prevent, reduce and end homelessness -- committed to restoring New Orleans for all its residents, assuring that all New Orleanians have the right and wherewithal to return to safe, decent, affordable housing -- empowered to determine their own future in this great American contribution to civilization.
