Wild Sweet William

About Me

Wild Sweet William is the music project of Stephen Hartsfield, an Alabama native who has a tendency to wander. It is, at present, a solo effort consisting mainly of material written over the two years since he again took to the road. Stephen has spent that travel time writing, performing, and working when necessary. Upon leaving home in 2006, he spent time in the mountains above Colorado Springs and had the opportunity to jam with members of Grass It Up, one of the region's premier bluegrass acts. After departing Colorado, he spent time playing the coffee shops and bars of northwestern Montana before immersing himself in the diverse music scene of Seattle, WA. While in Seattle he was allowed the opportunity to perform with a varied group of musicians, both at local jam spots and on the streets overlooking the Puget Sound. In the summer of 2007, Stephen left Washington for Cordova, AK. During this period he was exposed to a wide array of influences. This fostered immense growth in his own musical style. After returning to Alabama from the Pacific Coast during the holiday season, Stephen began recording a studio EP at 20/20 Studios in Oxford, AL. The desire is to have the project completed by early summer. The tracks posted here are scratch guitar and vocals intended to give the producer an idea of the style and scope of the project. More tunes will be posted when the final mix is complete. Enjoy, and may you be surrounded by music. real editor best profile tools real editor best profile tools
