Influences: I come from a musical family and my older brother is a gutarist and music teacher. He is my first influence. my grandmother played piano. my younger brother drums, my uncle gutar, and my dad the trumpit. i have many influences such as; Whitney Housten, Aretha Franklin, Deniese Willams, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis, Alica Keys just to mention a few. i have been a self taught singer from the time i was in my mothers womb. the first style i learned while growing up was opera and folk. when i was five years old i had a best friend from a black baptist church that invited me to attend, and that was a main influence into the gospel that inprinted my heart for life!! when i grew up and ministered in the church and traveled, i was labeled as a; "White Chick With A chocolate Heart".
Sounds Like: When i sing folk style, i sound like Joan Baez. you will hear that on my first music site where i have three songs i recorded by joan. So who do i sound like? ME! i think.
