My Interests

I write, I paint, I draw. At these, I'm about as talented as a turd in a bowl of cornflakes. I have a little talent musically, so this is where my main interest lies. I accompany for the Ups and Downs theatre company, I teach at the Bellshill School of Music, and I have a selection of my own who attend lessons at my house in voice and piano.I also run vocal workshops and am setting up a baby music class for children aged 0-3, with the training and expertise of NYCoS. I also read. A lot! Anything from the back of a milk carton to the bible. If it's got info on it, I read it. If it's got a plot, I'll read it. Hell, even if there's no plot, I'll read it. I also like to adopt a subject now and then, learn silly amounts about it, research it, and then write an essay or two on it. Insane? Perhaps. I also have Glynn the plant, Xeno and Tagg the cats, Kevin the husband, Layne the baby, Bump the bump, Anna and Clarabell the milk jug and sugar bowl, and a toilet seat called Leonard. None of these have a myspace account. My life is complete.

I'd like to meet:

Billy Connolly and Eddie Izzard. Can you imagine sitting having a pint with them? You'd be in stitches. You'd just die. Oooooooh, and the cast from Serenity. Wait, no, hang on, I've met them already. Sorry, I'm not home right now - please leave a comment and I might get back to you

Music:

Too many to list. If it doesn't suck ass, chances are it's fine with me! Music has always been able to move, to touch 'my soul' at the risk of sounding wanky. Pretty much, if it moves me - or even just makes me want to move - then it's doing it's job. Music is a fabulous medium of non-verbal communication - one of the most basic languages. Everyone gets it. Google Nordoff-Robbins - you'll find out a lot of info about the benefits of music as a communicative medium.

Movies:

Serenity is the best movie evah! Ummmm, and I like films that make you go "ooooh" and "aaaargh", but I can't remember the last time a film did that to me. Loving Nightmare before Christmas, can't wait to see Corpse Bride, new Harry Potter is looking swell.....and Pirates of the Carribean!

Television:
