VOTE FOR US ON BANDFORTHEDAY.COM!!!!STITCH FROM BONNIE SCOTLAND. HARD DRIVIN ROCK FOR THE DISCERNING LISTENER SICK OF POP ROCK MASQUERADING AS SINCERITY. LYRICS THAT'D MAKE PETE DOHERTY GO STRAIGHT AND GROW A ROCK BEARD. A GREAT BALANCE BETWEEN INTELLIGENCE, O.T.T RIFFAGE, DOWNRIGHT DIRTYNESS AND REAL MELODIES AND SONGS WITHOUT GOING ALL GIRLY CHORUS AND BLUBBING ABOUT FEELINGS OVER POWER CHORDS. AS NATASHA BEDDINGFIELD SAID "I WANNA HAVE YER BABIES...I'M SERIOUS LIKE RABIES!!!!"(BIO-BOLLOX) Stitch are a 3 piece rock band based in Scotland. Formed in June 2003 (then a quintet) the boys soon knew they had something special when, after only three months, they had six songs written, arranged and recorded at The Washoose Studios in Crawfordjohn. This first E.P. was entitled "FROM SCRATCH" and apparently is making absolutely nothing on ebay. LOL www.washoose.fsnet.co.uk The demo EP "From Scratch" was released during September 2003 and the first run of 100 cd's sold out within a week, mostly due to the fact that Stitch were gigging regularly by that point. Shortly after the second CD "The missing E.P." Stitch became a 4 piece with the departure of James Cassidy (Bass). As for playing live, Stitch concentrated on establishing a strong fanbase in and around Glasgow at first, then put their effort into expanding that fanbase by playing further afield. After Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and a weekend bike festival in Ardrossan, the band headed South to play Barrow-in-furness for Music And Mystic and The Venue on The Isle Of Man, supporting the islands premier AC/DC covers band DC/AC. Their constant gigging, professional approach and sheer hard work has helped them generate a number of positive reviews from various promoters. They featured on Radio One, winning Vic and Gill's Demo Derby and recorded two sessions for their local TV station Lanarkshire TV, two for Glasgow student union TV and the title track from the 2nd E.P "Missing" was aired several times on Central Scotland's Beat 106, now renamed X-FM. X-FM rockshow DJ Martin Bate also enthusiastically aired "The Circle" from the North Road Sessions material as we gave him a first press to coincide with a support slot with Orange Goblin from London amusingly claiming that we're a better band. A man of taste! STITCH played a mini tour at the 100th anniversary TT festival on the Isle of Man Summer '07. Summer 2008 STITCH became a three piece with the departure of Stevie Irvine.
STITCH are currently rehearsing new material as a trio as well as fine tuning and honing all the lovely new audio space in the camp. The plan for 2009 so far is to record a handful of these songs to go with the North Road sessions from the last 18 months to form an album worthy of my ridiculous standards. Then it's GIGS, GIGS, GIGS till we're sick then some more. Peace. OH YEAH AND IT'S A WHOLE NEW LEVEL...RIGHT? ..
