"Church wants you in your place. Kneel, stand, kneel, stand. If you go for that sort of thing, I don't know what to do for you. A man makes his own way. No one gives it to you. You have to take it. 'Non serviam.'"
Any cop/mafia/gangster/gangsta/ drug-dealing/hood movie
Any Jay and Silent Bob Movie
Most war movies
Gratuitous sex and violence but only when it serves a purpose integral to the film
Scorcese, Tarantino, Farrelly Brothers, Larry Clark (Kids, Bully, Ken Park, Wassup Rockers)
Vulgar and stupid comedies that are nonetheless genius (i.e. Harold and Kumar, Grandma's Boy, Waiting, Half Baked, Detroit Rock City, early Sandler & Farley)
Movies that make you think and feel and relate (Waking Life, Garden State, Requiem for a Dream, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Igby Goes Down, Dark Days, Bomb the System)
Just fucking movies.Period.
television, all hail grand pixelated god of fantasy, murder scape and perspective, fuck a sore channel changed digit I sit with a nasty network intervenes plan with a stable diet of my cable pirate "I wanna donate my brain to the monstrous panasonic prophet (profit?)."
I am an ignorant prick in the sense that I lack the attention span to read anything but newspaper and magazine articles and Wikipedia entries. The last two books I tried reading I only got half way through. They were "America: The Book" and "The Kurt Cobain Journals".
Two legends gone before their time. Their words and music made me who I am, and I would not be shit without them.
