So now I have been out here in Los Angeles for a year...things are good. I've realized many things whilst living out here, such as...in the car I develop the need for anger management. At any Mexican restaraunt I need to come to grips with the fact that Californians don't know what "Smothered in Cheese" means. I've learned that there is a difference between a hobo, a homeless person and the lady at the bus stop who won't take change but only bills larger than a $5. Girls will wear UGG boots no matter what the weather is and I still think they look stupid. No matter what the sign says next to the meter, don't park there because you will get towed. People have developed the ability to spit into another persons vehicle, while it's moving. The rainy season is 3 days in March and it's only 3 inches of water...total. Hot Dog vendors know only how to say one word, "Hot Dog" but they will repeat it 30 times until you buy one. Geoffry Jones (the principal from Ferris Buelers Day Off) is at the Grocery Store ALOT. In certain bars I can pass as a gorgeous drag queen (that could either be good or horrible). NOWHERE do they know how to cook chicken fried steak. My parents are still the same...Mom: current cougar searching for "food", Dad: keeping his recliner warm and his discovery channel loud, Brother: Moved to Austin, TX (my old home) to continue his Buddist ways, ME: Writer's Assistant for NBC's Medium...not too shabby for only being here for a year...too bad this last statement is on hiatus due to the strike but all for the cause.
