www.myspace.com/khalandraxThere are many years behind me since i started playing an instrument. I started playing guitar for my grand mother (rumba flamenca), because she was a famous singer in the mid 40..s and 50..s...i guess i was 14 years old.
The music has been around me since i can remember, even when my mother was pregnant!!, she & my father used to put headphones on her belly with BACH & MOZART. My father was a rock singer in the 70..s here in Mexico for a band called AVE FENIX and jammed along with LOVE ARMY.As far as i feel inside my mind, i really think the music is the only way to get in touch with the inner self, meditation, praying and other techniques are very powerful, but have you ever wonder... what would happen to the human been without music?So the music is the channel to get your mind and feelings anywhere you want, the music has to take you in a mental voyage...
I still remember those days when i was a little kid dressed up like Gene Simmons and with a broom in my hands trying to follow KISS music (those guys where great stage performers hottest show in the world), as soon i heard the first electric guitar (Tom Sholtz from BOSTON), i knew i wanted to be a guitar player.As far as i remember i was always a big fan of RUSH and used to play all the songs with my guitar... But as soon as i listened to the bass lines carefully, i realize that the instrument i always wanted to play was the BASS!!
No wonder why i dressed up like Gene Simmons when i was only a kid.So know i am a bass player for RABIA & PERIADAM and i have a side project called DRIVEN PROJECT.WELCOME TO MY WORLD WHERE THE MIND MEETS THE SOULHEY! Empece tocando la guitarra para acompañar a mi abuela (rumba flamenca), porque ella fue una gran cantante a mediados de los 40..s y 50..s... creo que yo tenia como 14 años.La musica ha sido y sera una parte escencial en mi vida, aun cuando mi madre estaba embarzada!!, mi padre solia ponerle audifonos en la panza con BACH & MOZART. Mi padre fue un rockero en los 70..s, vocalista de un grupo llamado AVE FENIX y palomeaba con LOVE ARMY.
Hasta donde siento dentro de mi cabeza, creo que la musica es una manera para estar en contacto con uno mismo, la meditacion y oracion son grandes herramientas tambien, pero..nunca se han preguntado... que hubiese sido del ser humano sin musica.La musica es el canal adecuado para colocar tus sentimientos y mente en cualquier parte deseada, la musica debe llevarte en un viaje mental...
Todavia recuerdo aquellos dias cuando niño, que me disfrazaba de Gene Simmons y con una escoba entre las manos trataba de seguir las rolas de KISS (el mejor show del la histoia), tan pronto como escuche las primeras guitarras electricas (Tom Sholtz de BOSTON), supe que queria ser un guitarrista.Siempre he sido un gran admirador de RUSH, solia tocar casi todas sus canciones en la guitarra, pero cuando le preste atencion a las lineas de bajo, me di cuenta que lo que queria tocar era el bajo!!!
Ahora entiendo porque me disfrazaba de Gene Simmons cuando era niño.Asi es que, ahora soy bajista de RABIA & PERIADAM y tengo un proyecto alterno llamada DRIVEN PROJECT.BIENVENIDOS A MI MUNDO.. DONDE LA MENTE ENCUENTRA EL ALMA
