Behead The Tyrant formed in September of 2005 with the hopes of creating a sound of music that encompassed all genres and style that its members thought were emotional and driving. With a mixture of metal, hardcore and death metal this style illustrates what we find to be a perfect eclectic mix of many different forms of music. As time goes on we learn from what we have produced and strive to keep raising the bar and to create music more brutal than the last round. This band consists of a group of college guys who prior to the band weren’t really friends at all, but through their love of music and excellent personality matches formed a tight bond that has brought them to where they are today. With influences ranging from The Left Banke to Chicago to Jackson Browne to Slayer to Suffocation we represent musical tastes that are all different but at the same time all equally appreciated. To sum it up, we just love to have fun and make music.
