All Fall Prey

All Fall Prey was a heavy metal band from Cincinnati, OH. The band consisted of 5 core members (Jason Rich on vocals, Jack Ryan on bass, George Scheffer on guitar, Mike Weyer on guitar, and Max Cole on drums) but would be a 4 piece during the beginning, in 2006, and towards the end of the band in mid 2008. The roots of the band go as far back as to 1998 when most of it's members were involved with a band called Habits. Habits went through many band members through the years before coming to an end sometime in the early 2000's. But even after that, George, Max, and Jason continued to write music and were soon joined by Jack, and a short time after that they were joined by Mike, who was also a member of Habits. With this line up, the band became much more serious about their music. The name All Fall Prey came from the name of a song from Max's fathers band. The first show the band played under the name All Fall Prey was at Top Cat's in Cincinnati, OH on December 14th 2006. All Fall Prey would play very many shows around the Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky area, with lots of good bands. During the Autumn of 2007, they recored a 6 song demo in Owensville, OH but only 4 of the tracks where used for the actual demo. About 350 of the 4 song demos were made by the band members and passed out for free at shows, but a few demos with 6 songs were made and passed out to friends. That was the only recording ever released from the band. Towards the time the band came to an end, it would be decided by the band that Mike should leave the band because of not showing up to practice (but Mike remained friends with the other band members). After that, the 4 remaining members played 2 more shows (the last being at an Iron Horseman's biker gang party) before Max decided he didn't want to be a part of the band any more after almost 10 years of jamming with George. Since the break up, there has been no contact between Max and the other band members. Even though it is the end of All Fall Prey, the last remaining members (Jason, George, and Jack) plan to continue writing music together with a new drummer and under a new name (because Max owns the copyright to All Fall Prey). A new band with some original members is in the works at this time.
