António Cobra (Portugal) started his career as a musician/guitarist in 1995. Since then he has participated in a number of musical projects that have embraced a wide variety of types of music such as portuguese popular music, bossa nova, MPB, flamenco, arabic and mediterranean music, fusion.
Between 2000 and 2005 studied classic guitar, harmonia, improvisation, analysis and history of music with Prof. Jorge Lee. In 2004-2005 initiated the study of the flamenco guitar technique in Portugal. In 2007, in the ambit of the International Córdoba Guitar Festival, he attended the high level of the course "Nature and Form of the Flamenco Guitar" tutored by guitarists Manolo Sanlúcar, Manolo Franco, José António Rodriguez and Paco Serrano. While in Córdoba he had private lessons of flamenco guitar with "Maestros" Igor Nedelikovic and Curry.
In his formation is equally necessary to refer the names of the musicians that, in different ways and different moments, were very important for the definition of his path. Are the cases of Paulinho Lêmos (Brasil); Miguel Samora, Paulo Grilo, Paulo Neves, Ricardo Gouveia, João Pires (Portugal); Xavier Llonch (France); Igor (Serbia); Anze Palka (Slovenia); Oscar, Gabriel Expósito, José Almarcha, Curry (Spain); Taylan Polat, Emre "El Turco" (Turkey).
