Umphrey's McGee
Live At The Murat
In Stores October 16, 2007
The ascension continues for Chicago's Umphrey's McGee, not only in terms of their commercial success but in creative accomplishment and instrumental achievement as well. Their performance on Live at the Murat (SCI Fidelity), the band's first official live release, is as impressive as anything they've recorded to date, with the power and finesse, the yin and the yang, that have come to characterize their by-now classic material.
Recorded in Indianapolis in April 2007 and produced by longtime sound caresser/honorary seventh member Kevin Browning, Live at the Murat is innovative without being indulgent and exhilarating without losing control. Clearly, logging 120 gigs a year, "live" is where UM lives.

The Greyboy Allstars first formed almost 15 years ago to realize the vision of rare groove luminary DJ Greyboy: an original sound reminiscent of `70s soundtrack music. What Happened to Television? (April 17, 2007/SCI Fidelity), the group’s first studio album in nearly a decade, finds them reunited with Greyboy for the first time since their seminal 1995 breakthrough, West Coast Boogaloo.
What Happened to Television? features all of The Greyboy Allstars’ original members: Hammond organist and keyboardist Robert Walter, guitarist/composer/producer Elgin Park (aka Michael Andrews), horn player Karl Denson, bassist Chris Stillwell and drummer Zak Najor. The album also includes contributions from Inara George and the vocal trio The Living Sisters (Eleni Mandell, Becky Stark and George).

Titled The Bottom Half , disc one features ten tracks that were originally recorded during the SIN Sessions, while disc two offers outtakes, alternative versions of songs, a cappella recordings, and other bits from the band's 2006 studio sessions. As with Safety In Numbers , famed album artist Storm Thorgerson designed the artwork for The Bottom Half.

During the band’s 28 years, The Radiators have come tantalizingly close to making the “Great New Orleans Rock Recording.†Now, with the release of their new record, Dreaming Out Loud ( October 3, 2006) they’ve done it. Dreaming Out Loud is the definitive studio recording by one of New Orleans’ best Rock bands.
Almost three decades after their formation, The Radiators have emerged from the studio with an accurate self-portrait of where the band is today; heartbroken by the devastation Hurricane Katrina brought to their beloved New Orleans, but not hopeless. Determined to record the album in their hometown, The Radiators teamed up with producer Mark Bingham at Piety St. Recording N.O.L.A. during the city’s historical 2006 Mardi Gras celebration, when the New Orleans community gathered together to remind the world that the city and its traditions would in fact survive. There and then the band laid the tracks for Dreaming Out Loud – a New Orleans-flavored “war cry†that only The Radiators could assemble.
The album’s title track sets straight those who ever doubted the city’s legacy would continue; Malone sings - “Our music is all we’ve ever had.â€

Bill Nershi , guitarist/singer/songwriter from The String Cheese Incident, proudly presents HONKYTONK HOMESLICE - a mostly-acoustic collaboration with his wife, singer/songwriter Jilian Nershi, and accomplished multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter Scott Law (of the Scott Law Band, Tough Mama, Hanuman & Melvin Seals Melting Pot).
"This band takes the music back to its roots; back to the kind of shows String Cheese did when it began," Bill explains. "Honkytonk Homeslice invites listeners into our living room (not literally) for an intimate performance that everyone can participate in." These songs were recorded the old time way. The trio sat in one room around open mics with no separation between their voices and instruments. All three members of Honkytonk Homeslice contribute original songs to the album.
The self titled debut from HTHS , to be released September 5, 2006, delivers 13 songs of down-home Americana music.

A 100% organic, improvised creation, each ZILLA concert proves to be a completely unique occurrence, with even the band members having no idea where the music will take them night after night. Relying on their uncanny ability to listen and incorporate their individual talents into a group focused brand of live electronic dance music, ZILLA is sweeping the country with their rare breed of beats, bass and uncontrollable musical fury.
all iZ, the bands first studio release, which is due to hit streets on September 5, 2006, offers two full discs of musical spontaneity, flow, grooves and a damn good dance party! Its 13 tracks were improvised live in the studio in Boulder, Colorado in February 2006.
