Improvisational Talent...350 PointsAlong with their Contestant's Packet, Contestants will receive a list of songs for the Improvisational Talent Category. During the entertainment segment before the start of the category, our Pageant Administrator will conduct a secret drawing in the DJ booth, in order of contestant appearance. During the category, contestants will be called to the stage, and will find out which number they are to perform. BELOW IS A LIST OF THE SONGS CHOSEN FOR THIS CATEGORY OF THE PAGEANT. On Stage Q&A...250 PointsA pageant classic with a "Kincade" twist. In this category contestants will be judged on their ability to answer questions written by our audience, judges and the MDAS Staff. This is not your drag mother's Q&A, we want this time to be fun and informal, but please do your best to answer the question!
Evening Gown...350 PointsThe pageant classic, this category is about quality of modeling, as well as the fit and appearance of the gown...be warned however, the most fabulous or expensive gown won't necessarily win! In this category, it's the queen that makes the gown, not the gown that makes the queen.
There will be a required “Talent†category, worth 500 points, which is standard to most pageant systems, and 50 points will be assessed for Administrative purposes. Total possible points will be 1,500.
