CommentYou.comI absolutely LOVE to travel and have been to some great places although there are many more destinations on my "to go do and see" list. Some of my absolute favorite places in the states are Key West, San Francisco, Sedona, AZ-gorgeous!, and Chicago. Of course I love the NYC too-much love! Internationally, I have been to Asia five times - all for pleasure trips and I can say that I have an appreciation and respect for the Asian culture-particularly the people of Thailand and the Phillipines. Wonderful people. On a business level, real estate is a big passion of mine. I am very lucky to be in this beautiful city where I can take advantage of many things that it affords a single guy from Ohio including real estate opportunities. When it comes to free time, I love being with friends as well as making new ones, women, the beach, learning new things, women, the beach, going to football games at the RAY J and gettin' crazy in the pirate ship- GO BUCS!, women, the beach, golf, jetskiing, anything outdoors, working out, eating out, movies, concerts, Sundays at Shephard's on Clearwater Beach. Basically, anything festive, outdoors, and/or around people is great in my world. One of my favorite things to do with a special someone is take a bottle of wine (red, of course and the big one-not the small bottle) to the beach at night and have a great conversation while looking at the stars and moon and listening to the tide roll in. Priceless. The things money can't buy are really the things that move me. And if I haven't already alluded to two of my fav's: they include women and the beach!" Work like you don't need the money, Love like you've never been hurt, and Dance like nobody's watching..."
God-my creator, my biological father, any woman that is capable of reaching my heart or taking my breath away, the woman that I will one day call my wife-where are you?, anyone that imparts wisdom that I can use and take with me on my journey, Oprah Winfrey, Bono (actually, I have met Bono but didn't talk much to him as I worked security for a few different shows U2 did) Colin Powell, Ronnie Lott (my favorite defensive football player of all time-he was one bad boy who played the game with heart), and I am sure there are several others that would be great to meet. I guess if all of the aforementioned shared some common ground, it would be that they all intrigue me and have inspired many others. Yes, even my father whom I have never met, because he taught me (in his absence) that you take the cards life deals you (some people would be happy to just have a hand to play or a choice in life) and play your hand the best you know how to without stepping on others. He also taught me the kind of man I DON'T want to be when he left my mother. "Never burn bridges because you never know how many times you might cross the same water." I can't take credit for that quote but it is one that I love and live by.
My music interests are pretty diverse and I could list a hundred great bands/artists whose music I enjoy. I'd have to say, I appreciate works from just about every genre. If I had to name favorites, Dave Matthews Band would be holding it down at the top but depending on my mood and what I am doing, you could catch me listening to anything from Norah Jones to Alice in Chains. I love reggae music- especially on the beach at sunset while enjoying a margarita or Corona. I could not imagine a world without music.
Ohhh, so many. Some great ones in my opinion are: Scarface, An Officer and a Gentleman (I'm a sucker for a good love story-that's the HOPEFUL romantic in me I guess), Pulp Fiction, True Romance, The Girl Next Door, Boiler Room, Goodfellas, Casino, Reservoir Dogs, Fight Club, can't leave out Animal House-classic, Boogie Nights, Forrest Gump, Full Metal Jacket, The Usual Suspects, Radio, Remember the Titans, Pay it Forward, Hitch, Finding Nemo, Anchorman, Man on Fire (yes, I shed tears in this one)... Some of my favorite actors include Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Denzell Washington, Edward Norton Jr., Anthony Hopkins, Samuel Jackson, Nicholas Cage, Dustin Hoffman, John Travolta, Will Smith, Pierce Brosnan...As for actresses, a few favs (based on acting ability) are Demi Moore, Jodie Foster, Jamie Lee Curtis, Julia Roberts, Dakota Fanning (that little girl is a great actress already!) Hillary Swank, Nicole Kidman, Elizabeth Shue...oh, and Paris Hilton is a hell of an actress-KIDDING!
Well, I don't watch a whole lot of television but some shows I enjoy ( in no particular order and I know I will be forgetting some ) include Sopranos, UFC Unleashed, CSI, Will and Grace, Seinfeld, That 70s Show, Dave Chappelle Show, Criss Angel-Mindfreak (you know he'd kick David Blaine's ass), 24, First 48, Entourage, Beyond The Glory on ESPN, and ... as I mentioned, I probably left a few out.
Many good ones here as well. Most books I read any more are based on self- improvement and real estate investing so to name a few... "Rich Dad, Poor Dad," "Pushing Up People," "The Millionaire Mind," "The Art of the Deal," The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People," "Walking With the Wise," and some good non-business books I have read in the last 6 months include "Bringing Down the House," and "Reefer Madness." Right now I am actually reading 'If Love is a Game, These are the Rules" by Cherie Carter-Scott because my doll of a friend Monika recommended it and let me borrow it-thank you Monika!
My mother who God Bless her, raised me by herself against all odds and gave me many gifts that all the money in the world couldn't buy-love you Mom, Pat Tillman-former NFL player that traded a football uniform for a soldier's uniform and forfeited his life in battle- God Bless his soul and those that new him personally; (Go to http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4815441/ if you don't know his amazing story of patriotism), our military personnel who I can't pay enough respect as they fight battles daily that many would agree are meaningless and unwarranted, and many other heroes in everyday life that are too numerous to mention. If I had to define a "hero," I would say it is anyone that lifts others up by inspiring them and allowing them to shine and be their best, and also anyone who makes significant humanitarian contributions. I applaud these people because they make the world a better place. Sometimes the smallest efforts one makes can produce the most profound results.
