About Me

Just a regular guy trying to do his thing. If you want to know more, you'll have to write and ask! I'm also a member of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, and the first video below is about us and what we're about. As I'm sure you can tell from a couple of the videos below, I don't like our current President or his administration for reasons too in depth to get into here (though if anyone ever wanted to know why I'd be happy to send them a message and tell them). It mostly boils down to the fact that they're treating the veterans coming home like they aren't worth being helped out for problems they have the same way the Vietnam veterans were, which I believe is completely unacceptable. That, in addition to the lies being said about the war from the beginning and the profiteering going on as a result of it have me disgusted as an American and deeply offended as a veteran. Check out the videos below to see why I feel this way.IAVA Promotional video

My Interests

Travelling!!!

I'd like to meet:

These first two videos are excerpts from an excellent documentary about war profiteering and the politicians (Dick Cheney mostly) that are making millions of dollars off of dead American soldiers. I have the full documentary on DVD and would love to lend it to people that would like to see the whole thing. This one shows the lies and contradictions that got us into the war in the first place.Couple of Rage Against the Machine videos, just cause they kick ass!

Music:

I pretty much listen to anything, but recently I've mostly been listening to The Black Keys, though I'm also constantly listening to bands such as Chevelle, Live, B.B. King, Incubus, Metallica, Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz, Bob Dylan, Rage Against the Machine, P.O.D., Sublime, Tool, Janis Joplin, Seether, Offspring, Staind, Boston, Led Zepplin, Goo goo dolls, Godsmack, Eagles, Audioslave, Foo Fighters, A Perfect Circle, Bush, Green Day, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Steve Miller Band, and numerous others. I also listen to some rap once in awhile, it really depends on the mood I'm in as to what I listen to.

Movies:

I'm up for seeing anything, as long as it isn't a crappy chick flick.

Television:

I usually don't watch too much TV, but when I do it's usually The Office or some other kind of comedy shows.

Books:

I just read Chasing Ghosts by Paul Rieckhoff, which only took me like three days to read, which is wierd, it usually takes me like three months to read an entire book. I totally recommend it for anyone wanting a real perspective on what's happening in Iraq and with the soldiers coming back from there. I'm also reading the Bible more and more...

Heroes:

Jesus, my dad, my grandpa, both of my grandmas (R.I.P.), and all the families of the injured and fallen soldiers--God bless all of you.

My Blog

Can we support the president and the troops at the same time?

A few months ago, my dad told me that someone had told him that you have to support the war and the president in order to "support the troops."  It's obviously just an opinion, which of course ev...
