Birmingham's 1st Lady

Surround Sound is a native of Birmingham, Alabama (who was born and raised in the "HAM") and spent several adolescent years in Compton & Long Beach, California. She now resides in Atlanta, Georgia where music dominates her day on the regular. Living in Atlanta 2 years SS has an already impressive resume (if you will) collaberations with Dungeon Family members Khujo Goodie, Cool Breeze, Witchdoctor and newly signed Def Jam artist Citty Boy gives a good example of the underground artists' ability to test the waters a little bit. The distinctive name, SURROUND SOUND" is a witty play on SS's disability 2 whisper as a child. Her voice projected so loudly that everyone around her would not only be aware of what she had to say, they'd be willing to listen to the 5-foot powerhouse! As her name defines (in her words) the ability to grab you from every corner of the room with a voistrous, but memerable delivery. Nonetheless this is definitely a name to become accustomed to in the coming months. With the production and music arrangement of a newly found D.C. Youngster, Lil' Bink, she will no longer await the industry, the industry is definitely awaitin SS. With a neo-hip-hop sound derrived from a form of go-go music Bink calls "Da Bounce Beat", her aggressive, but elegant delivery is undeniably a new voice AND sound of the south.
